From day one dealing with Terminix has been a nightmare. They hired a 3rd party company who blew our electricity numerous times eventually resulting in having to have an electrician come out. They left things in the attic on the floor of a bedroom and when the assistant manager of Terminix promised to put the things back he never showed. We still had mice issues probably because Terminix only came twice to address the issue and then always failed to come back. They failed to check the traps leaving possible rodents dead inside for months. The assistant manager tried to gaslight me about our prior communications but I have text proof. And the worst part was another company because of who Terminix hired tried to place a lien on my house even though Terminix was paid in full. DO NOT HIRE THEM!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I was a loyal customer until they completed an unsolicited inspection and claimed I had subterranean termites- something I later found out I never actually had. At the time, I already had an active drywood termite contract with them.Because of this, my actual drywood termite issue went untreated for an entire year before I realized what had happened. Trying to speak with management has been incredibly frustrating. They don’t provide direct contact information and instead route everything through the main Terminix number, which makes it difficult to get real support, accountability and follow through with complaints.I’m still trying to get my money back after being misled into paying for an expensive service I didn’t need. Overall, this has been a very disappointing experience- poor customer service and a lack of transparency and honesty.

!Beware! I recently purchased a home in a senior community in central Florida. We had the home inspected by Terminix for our VA loan. The inspection report was clean. Four months later, and I find a rat in my driveway. A week later, the inspector comes out for the routine inspection. Amazingly, a decaying rat is found in my attack. Interestingly, there were no other visible signs of any rodent activity in the house or attic. Nor, do any of the neighbors report any sightings. Not a single dropping!(The inspector even had me come up to attack to observe the carcass.) Further, the dryer duct had been ripped out. The inspector said that this was where the rats were getting in. The attack had been inspected by a whole home inspector and the vents had recently been cleaned. There were zero reports of any issues. However, the Terminix inspector insisted that the rats would shortly be eating through my roof and wiring. Of course I panicked, and called my husband who was in another state. He trusted the inspector (Salesman) and his presentation. The inspector then had be sign a hastily presented contract in my husbands name, ran his credit and had me sign my husbands signature to complete the contract. The contract was for $10, 000!We are senior citizens and are too trusting. We subsequently did a little research, and discovered that pest control companies have been running scams to trick unsuspecting home owners into expensive whole attic insulation remediation. You can’t get the local Terminix office by phone, so I drove over the next day, and had the contract rescinded. The office manager, Travis, denied that a rodent would be planted in our attic for $10K. I said that I couldn't imagine a rodent infestation with no signs of droppings. He did insist that another technician should come out to repair the dryer vent hose. I followed this individual up to the attic to where I could see. He didn’t go anywhere near the dryer vent hose but to the back of the attic. He said he could now see 30 rat tunnels and dozens of packets of rat poison. (The previous “inspector” said there was two packets of poison and no observable droppings. Suddenly, I have rat droppings.)This guy didn’t even go near the dryer vent hose and just remarked that it didn’t properly fit to begin with. This would have been reported on our home inspection. I have photos from the inspection, I can’t believe I was dumb enough to let these scammers back in my home! Undoubtedly, the second individual was there to plant the feces that didn’t exist the previous day. He now showed me evidence of a rat dropping! I’m going to have the attic inspected by a reputable company before moving forward. I thoroughly believe this company is scamming old people and planting evidence to support it. !Beware!

Joseph Hatchett an inspector for Terminix Lakewood WA came out to inspect the attic on 2/16/2026. I called them because I’ve been seeing feathers on the deck and there’s also a hole in one corner of the house and it’s the first thing he looked at and told me there some rodents. So he went up the attic for few minutes and he confirmed presence of rodents. When he came down I asked if he took pictures and he showed me one photo of supposedly “rodents droppings” so I panicked. Before he left he presented me with a “contract” costing $10,094.90 and because rodents are no joke I decided to sign the contract and made the $5,000 down payment without even consulting with my husband. Luckily, just before the “grace” period I was able to cancel the contract and refunded the money. I decided to get three more companies come out and this time I could tell all the inspectors from each company went up and inspect the attic cause I could hear it in our living room, also they presented me with a LOT of pictures and none of them confirmed presence of rodents ~ its BIRDS and they even found one dead in the attic and also the screens were torn. I just can’t believed this company would do us wrong!!! I am glad that I came to my senses and decided to get few more inspections from local pests control companies.

I have been using Terminix for over a year. About a year ago, I paid nearly $1,000 for them to seal the exterior of my Pennsylvania vacation rental to address a mouse infestation. After that, I continued paying for their monthly pest control service.Recently, my sister-in-law, who cleans the property after each guest stay, informed me that she found mouse droppings in the kitchen. I immediately contacted Terminix two weeks ago and they scheduled a service appointment for the following week. They never showed up. No phone call, no explanation.I called again and they rescheduled me for the following weekend. Once again, no one showed up and there was no communication from the company.I called a third time, and the customer service representative said they had no idea why the appointments were being canceled. They scheduled yet another appointment for next week.At this point, I truly regret not contacting another pest control company two weeks ago. I cannot rent out my vacation rental until the mice issue is resolved, which is causing me to lose bookings and income. I live in Arizona, so I cannot simply go to the property and handle traps myself. This experience has been extremely disappointing. Unfortunately, I also recently hired Terminix for costly termite treatment at my parents’ home in Arizona, which I now regret after seeing how unreliable their service has been.Very disappointing service from a company, I expected to be dependable.

I regret to say my experience with Terminix has been extremely disappointing.First, the treatments applied by technicians did not resolve the insect problems in my home. Despite multiple service visits, the chemicals and sprays used were ineffective. In some cases, the insect activity actually increased after the service.Second, technicians frequently failed to arrive for scheduled appointments. On several occasions, I waited for hours for a technician to come to my home, only for no one to show up and with no communication from the company explaining the absence.Because of these issues, I have spent hundreds of dollars without receiving effective service or results. Based on my experience, the service has been unreliable and ineffective.

CUSTOMER BEWARE!!! AVOID AVOID AVOID 10 years as a loyal customer and now they want to change my agreement! Chad M Adams was my rep. for my contract which started in 2015. He promised my yearly renewal fee would be at a set price every year and would not change. Now Terminix wants to change that! They do not honor their agreements. I called their 844 number and was told would receive call back, NEVER DID. Then I called their location near me, and they still did not honor agreement! I also tried their chat on their website, still not honoring what they said! This company deserves three D’s and a F for Dishonest, Disingenuous, Deceitful & Fraudulent! While the company boasts high internal satisfaction rates, public reviews frequently highlight issues with customer service, scheduling, and billing. Do your homework and choose a loyal company!

I have had ongoing issues that have not been resolved. I've attempted to reach out to someone at corporate level via phone and email for over a week with promises of response not being carried through. Highly unprofessional, I'm extremely unsatisfied.

Warning to homeowners: Terminix’s insulation and chemical treatments made both my dog and me sick. After their service, the air quality in my home became so bad that I had to hire another company to remove all the insulation Terminix installed and replace it with non-toxic foam insulation. Between remediation and vet bills, this situation has cost me well over $10,000.I originally paid $5,400+ to Terminix based on claims made during the sales process.Salesperson Wayne Beirola told me my house had active termite issues and pushed the most expensive service bundle. After the contract was signed, a Terminix technician later told me there was NO termite activity, and a separate home inspection report confirmed the same.In other words, the termite problem used to justify the contract did not exist.Once you sign, Terminix locks you into a 12-month contract that is extremely difficult to cancel. I spent months repeatedly calling just to stop the renewal.Another issue is the termite bait system. Terminix installs bait stations but they remain the company’s property, meaning if you cancel service they remove or disable them.Other pest control companies servicing my properties:• charge about $500 upfront for termite bait systems• no recurring ownership fees• the bait stations remain with the homeTerminix instead uses the bait stations as a contract lock-in.Between the misrepresentation, the insulation and chemical treatments that made my dog and me sick, and the extremely difficult cancellation process, this was one of the worst service experiences I’ve had.Homeowners should be very cautious before signing anything with Terminix. There are far more transparent pest control companies out there.
