What Shoppers Say About TomboyX
TomboyX shoppers are deeply divided. Loyal customers praise the brand's fabric quality, fit, and human customer service, with many reporting they have replaced their entire underwear collections. However, a significant portion of recent reviewers report serious quality decline issues including premature holes and broken elastic, inconsistent sizing, and problematic seam construction. Several shoppers also experienced fulfillment problems such as unprocessed shipments and slow delivery despite tracking notifications.
Pricing is another point of contention, with some customers questioning the value at current price points. While the brand maintains a dedicated following who appreciate its design aesthetic and performance, quality control inconsistencies and operational issues have frustrated recent buyers. Customer service interactions appear positive when they occur, though some shoppers report difficulty reaching support regarding order problems.

Sorted by: Most recentThe quality has gone downhill over time. I'm getting holes and broken elastic way faster than I used to, sometimes in just a couple months when they'd last years before. The sizing seems off too. And I've realized they're using AI artwork now. Look at some of their designs and you'll spot the mistakes like tentacles with suckers on both sides or mismatched cat paws. I wanted to support an LGBT business but it's getting harder to justify. There was also that whole thing where they misgendered a trans model which should have been my wake-up call, but I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. As a trans artist myself, the AI art thing is the final straw for me.
I've been loyal to TomboyX boxers forever. Just got four new pairs and threw them in the wash, then when I was folding them I saw they have those standing seams on the hip again. That's it for me and blind purchases from them. I'm doing a full check before I accept anything now and will be sending back anything that doesn't meet their standards. For the price they're charging, you'd think they could find manufacturers who can handle basic construction instead of just going with whoever's cheapest. Plus their sizing keeps changing which is annoying, but honestly these are the only women's cotton boxers out there.
Instead of dealing with those annoying AI chatbots, their customer service team is made up of actual friendly humans who actually help you. I'm from the UK and had been wanting to try their boxers for ages. During Black Friday they had an amazing sale with free shipping to the UK so I decided to go for it. I emailed them with sizing questions and got a speedy response from a really nice person who helped me pick the right size based on my measurements. When everything showed up, it was perfect. I bought even more stuff from the sale because I fell in love with the comfy boxers and bralettes. Then I had a small problem and the customer service rep went above and beyond to help. Honestly, it's the best online shopping experience I've had in forever!
This is hands down my favorite brand. Everything fits perfectly, the fabric quality is excellent, and the waistbands stay put. I've replaced my entire underwear collection with their stuff.
This was my first order. Paying 46 dollars for one pair of underwear is absolutely crazy. They emailed saying it shipped but all they did was print a label. The package never actually left. The whole fulfillment process is broken and so is this company. I won't be back.
Still waiting for my order to arrive. They sent me a shipping notification with tracking info but over a week later USPS still hasn't received it. Nobody's responding to my messages and it's really frustrating. Very disappointed so far.
I've purchased underwear from them multiple times and every single interaction with their customer service has been terrible. They act like they're better than everyone else. I'm done. No more orders from me.
Don't order from TomboyX. I've been a customer for over ten years and every pair of underwear I own is from them. I just placed an order for a three-pack during a 40% off sale and only received one random pair. Getting them to fix the problem was a nightmare with only email and text options. My messages weren't even being read and it took over two weeks just to get a response, more than a month from when I first ordered. They told me the three-pack was out of stock and kept ignoring when I asked for other options, finally just giving me a 20% refund so I could buy it again at full price. The whole thing was exhausting. This is not the company I've been supporting all these years. Just because there aren't many options out there doesn't mean we should put up with this kind of service. I won't be ordering from them again.
Grabbed two items during their sale but after waiting over a week with no shipping update, I checked in with them. They got back to me a week later saying there was a technical issue on their end and my order never went through. They cancelled it. But those exact same items are still in stock at full price now. So basically they cancelled my sale order and now I'd have to pay more if I want the same things. The items were clearly available to ship since they're still being sold, so it feels like they just didn't want to honor the sale price.
