What Shoppers Say About Turtle Fur
Shoppers praise Turtle Fur hats for their warmth, lightweight construction, and stylish design. Customers report these beanies perform well in cold weather and hold up during outdoor activities like mountain climbing. The alpaca wool versions with fleece lining are highlighted as particularly soft and comfortable.
Recurring concerns center on durability and material composition. Multiple reviewers report significant shrinkage of hats stored over warmer months without washing, raising questions about fabric stability. Some shoppers also express disappointment that products are manufactured overseas rather than domestically, and there are mentions of product inconsistency across orders at similar price points, with newer purchases not matching the quality of older versions.

Sorted by: Most recentAbsolutely obsessed with my Turtle Fur Sally hat. It's lightweight but seriously keeps you warm even when it's freezing out. I'm really into Turtle Fur as a brand and I'm looking forward to picking up more of their stuff when winter rolls around!
The hat itself is cute and matches what I was expecting. The problem is the big label on it that says MADE IN CHINA. I really thought I was buying something made locally. If I'd realized my money was going overseas instead of supporting domestic businesses, I would've shopped somewhere else.
Got a Turtle Fur hat that was fantastic during my first winter with it. Seriously one of the best cold weather items I've ever owned. Took it out of storage for this season and discovered it had shrunk so much I can't even wear it anymore. Never washed it or anything, it just shrank sitting in storage over the warmer months.
Picked up a Turtle Fur hat years back and absolutely adored it. The soft alpaca wool with that fleece lining was perfect. Accidentally tossed it in the wash this year and it shrank. I'd mistakenly figured all their hats used alpaca wool, so when I ordered a replacement at the same price point, I thought I'd get something similar. Turns out the new one isn't alpaca at all. The material is scratchy on the outside, though the fleece inside does keep things comfortable. My bad for not double checking the details when I ordered, but I'm frustrated that I spent that much money on a non-alpaca option.
