I've ended my subscription. As the saying goes, democracy dies in darkness, and Jeff Bezos has become part of that darkness. By killing the Post's planned endorsement of Harris to stay in favor with a would-be authoritarian for profit from his space business, he's hammered another nail in the coffin. Absolutely shameful.

The Post withdrew its planned endorsement of Kamala Harris after its owner, Jeff Bezos, also the CEO of Amazon, ordered it withdrawn. I'm canceling my subscription based on this authoritarian action ordered by the GOP candidate.

I'm curious why this page was taken down. I'm wondering what the reason could be. If you won't tell the truth about a presidential candidate who threatens to dismantle this country, then shut it down! I'm upset that you'd defend a serial liar like Donald Trump instead of standing up for truth. I won't be subscribing to your paper. If Bezos used his billions backing Harris instead of cowering away from Trump, maybe things would be different. Boycott the Washington Post now.

I've been a weekend subscriber to the Washington Post for over a decade mainly for the weekend Sudoku puzzles and promotional offers. Truth is, I don't really follow this paper closely. They lean heavily left and operate as a propaganda machine. Quality has steadily declined over the years, so when my subscription ends, I'm moving on. I phoned them about canceling my weekend edition and spoke with a customer service rep who tried getting me to keep it. I mentioned I wanted to cancel once my term finished and asked about my $16 vacation credit being returned to my card. They said it would show up in 3 to 5 business days, but that never happened. When I called back to check on the refund, a different rep explained that since I don't pay automatically by credit card, they'd be mailing a check after my last Sunday paper arrives. I was told it would take about 3 weeks.

The Washington Post functions as a left-leaning propaganda outlet. False narratives get published routinely and hateful content targeting disliked figures appears regularly. Even though I'm not based in the US, their algorithm keeps pushing their content to me. I'm continually disturbed by what they choose to report on.

They ran a piece saying Trump would be obese if he were an inch shorter. Congratulations on that astute observation. Their level of intelligence rivals that of a fence post. It's equivalent to saying someone would be overweight if they gained 300 pounds. Or claiming that removing one letter N from the word bunny and replacing it with D creates bundy, and swapping both Ns for Ds makes buddy.
