What Shoppers Say About Whateverworks
Whateverworks has a severely troubled reputation according to shoppers, with 1.8 out of 5 by 16 reviewers. The overwhelming majority of complaints center on product quality issues (items arriving defective or not as described), shipping delays or missing packages, and serious customer service failures including difficulty reaching support by phone and unresponsiveness to return requests. Shoppers also report deceptive billing practices, such as hidden charges for rewards programs and unclear subscription terms. A small minority of reviews praise the company or note resolved issues, but these represent exceptions in an otherwise deeply negative pattern.
The most damaging complaints involve products failing immediately after purchase, shipping taking nearly a month without delivery confirmation, and billing disputes that take months to identify and resolve. Customers express frustration about being unable to reach customer service to address problems, forcing them to absorb return shipping costs that exceed the item price or resort to certified letters to executive leadership. While a few shoppers report eventually receiving refunds or credits, the process appears to be frustrating and requires significant persistence.

Sorted by: Most recentBought 3 items and somehow got charged for 3 separate orders. Ended up with 6 boxes showing up at my door. I immediately told them what happened and my credit card was hit 3 times, but got zero response. When I asked about returning the extra boxes, they refused to cover the return shipping. Really upset with this experience. Do not use this company.
These people are dishonest fraudsters. I made one purchase and suddenly there's a $14.95 'preferred' membership charge hitting my bank account without my permission. Run away from this company - they are straight up crooks.
Purchased a motion-activated light and the product doesn't actually have that feature even though both their ad and website say it does. The catalog information is wrong too. They need to update their descriptions because this is misleading.
Total ripoff. They bill you $14.95 every month for some fake VIP membership and you get nothing in return. Try reaching out to them and good luck - they ignore phone calls, emails, and letters. I spent over an hour on hold once listening to terrible music. Don't waste your money on anything from these guys. My lawyer is handling this now. Absolutely disgraceful.
Purchased an electric weed eater with 2 self-sharpening blades after ours stopped working. The blades arrived in just 4 days while the weed eater took about 4 weeks. Both work wonderfully for me. At 70 years old and in decent shape, I appreciate how the shoulder harness makes it comfortable to use. Overall very satisfied with both the items and the service.
Got an electric weed eater and 2 replacement blades after our old equipment quit working. The blades showed up in 4 days and the weed eater took 4 weeks to arrive. Both perform really well. As a 70-year-old woman who enjoys yard work, I found it easy to use once I added the shoulder harness. Very happy with the quality and how fast they sent things.
