Panasonic has built a solid reputation for making dependable and well-made electronics over the years. Their appliances perform well consistently and come packed with useful current features plus energy-saving tech. Sure, they cost a bit more than other brands, but you really do get what you pay for in terms of how long they last and what you get out of them. The company keeps pushing innovation forward in their product lines, which is why they're a great option if you want home appliances that won't let you down and will stick around for a long time.

Bought a Panasonic microwave and paid way more than a basic model would cost, expecting better quality. The buttons are incredibly small and hard to press. The timer only goes in 10-minute increments, so setting anything like 9 minutes is annoying. The inside is pretty cramped, especially height-wise. After heating liquids you have to manually wipe out moisture because the ventilation is basically useless. The instruction manual is basically nonexistent unless you want to squint at it on your phone through a QR code. I had a previous brand microwave that still works great, just has a worn keypad, and this one is such a downgrade in how it's designed and functions. Not impressed at all and wouldn't suggest it to anyone. If I hadn't opened it I'd definitely be trying to send it back.

Panasonic has been one of the worst experiences I've had with any company. I purchased an electric shaver with its charging dock last spring, and by late fall the dock stopped working properly. When I contacted them about it, they gave me the runaround. First I got told to call a third party who didn't even handle shavers. Then they said Best Buy could swap it out, but when I went there they said Panasonic needed to provide a reference number, which Panasonic refused to give. Next Panasonic said they'd handle the exchange themselves and asked me to send a video of the problem. I recorded and sent one under the size limit, but they claimed they never got it and demanded I use their method to send it (which they wouldn't actually tell me how to do). I sent photos showing the shaver in perfect condition instead. They kept insisting on the video. Eventually they rejected my claim entirely, saying the photo showed damage, even though it clearly shows a shaver with zero damage. This whole ordeal has been frustrating and I won't be going back to Panasonic.

I bought a new phone and answering machine set for my elderly uncle. The marketing said it was designed with older folks in mind, featuring oversized buttons and a simple display. The problem is it showed up without a phone cable. How are you supposed to actually use a telephone product if there's no way to plug it into the wall jack? This needs to be stated upfront on the product listing before someone buys it.

Got this Panasonic Inverter microwave several months back after seeing good reviews online. It was working fine until the door got stuck and wouldn't open at all. We definitely knew about the child lock feature and had been using it without problems, so that wasn't the issue. The door mechanism just completely stopped cooperating no matter what we tried to fix it. My wife ended up having to force the door open just so we could get the food out and finish making dinner. Don't bother calling customer service because you won't actually get help from anyone. We're done buying Panasonic after this experience. I usually wait at least half a year before reviewing electronics, but this one was bad enough that it didn't take that long to figure out.
