This group travel company seems designed to squeeze every dollar out of your wallet. The optional excursions are overpriced and you can find much better deals on other platforms. The included meals have tiny portions and taste worse than what you'd get yourself by doing a quick Google Maps search for half the price. The 4-star hotels are mostly just older properties with terrible heating and cooling systems. The local guides do offer solid information and entertaining stories though. If value ranges from 1 being a ripoff to 10 being the best deal, I'd rate this company somewhere between a 3 and 4.
I'm currently on the Best of the Italian Lakes tour and I have to say I feel completely taken advantage of. I've traveled with other tour companies before and this doesn't come close to that quality. You're really not treating your customers well. I won't do another tour with you and I won't be recommending you to anyone. Everyone on this trip deserves some money back because we all feel cheated. The resort where we're staying is below standard in pretty much every way. No hot water in the rooms, minuscule bars of soap, way too many stairs to climb, and that's just the beginning. NEVER AGAIN.

My wife and I recently finished a US Scenic Park Explorer tour and the experience was breathtaking. Our tour manager Miriam and driver Ronnie were both excellent. The problem was dealing with the main office. We had a problem with a breakfast voucher they issued that no restaurant would accept and the hotel couldn't help. I've emailed their headquarters twice asking for help and haven't gotten a single response. Just be aware before you book.
Absolutely faultless experience. The organization was extremely thorough and our tour director was truly superb. We spent two weeks visiting Denmark, Norway and Sweden and it was everything we could have hoped for and more.
The Croatia and Slovenia tour was put together incredibly well. Our director was really knowledgeable and had everything organized perfectly. The bus itself was brand new and super comfortable. We got to see everything featured in the brochure plus many unexpected highlights that made it even better. Overall it was a really positive experience.
I'm really glad I didn't end up booking with them. I reserved a trip and received my invoice with only 3 days to pay in full. Then I got an email saying they wouldn't honor that same invoice. When I asked to talk to someone, I got nothing. They sent an automated response saying someone would reach out about my issue, but nobody ever did. How can a company issue an invoice with complete travel details and then refuse to honor it less than 24 hours later? I could have already bought plane tickets. This is definitely not the way to start a vacation. It's been 6 days with no communication. Nice words don't matter, it's about actions and follow-through, and they're failing on both counts.

What an amazing company! My very first tour with them was their Best of Switzerland package as a solo traveler and I had such a fantastic time. The guide took wonderful care of us and shared so much interesting information about Swiss history, culture and languages. As a bonus he distributed lots of Lindt chocolate which was such a sweet gesture. And that's not even the best part. I actually won a trip to Costa Rica last year, which my boyfriend and I were already saving up for anyway, and they went above and beyond for us once again. The guide on that tour was equally amazing and brought such genuine passion to showing us around. We gained so much knowledge about the tropical wildlife and vegetation there. I seriously cannot recommend them highly enough and I'm booking again very soon.

This guide was fantastic and genuinely passionate about showing us around his country. We learned so much about the wildlife and plant life there. Had a terrible experience with this company. My daughter's luggage went missing when we arrived at our hotel in Sicily, and sadly it wasn't the first time Trafalgar lost her bag. We watched it get loaded onto the bus with our name tag clearly visible, but it never showed up. When we told our guide, she insisted my daughter had grabbed someone else's suitcase even though we saw our tag. The guide refused to contact the airport or take responsibility, so we spent our own money traveling back and forth to check ourselves. After an hour of dealing with airport staff, we found it there. No apology from the guide or the company, and we're out 80 Euros. We've done multiple trips with them over the years, but nothing would make us book with them again.
I needed to cancel my Italy trip and I have to say the company handled that part well, processing a refund of 2329.74. However, I purchased travel insurance when I booked and the insurance company has been difficult about my claim. I submitted all my required information to their office through certified mail and they confirmed receiving it. However when I called to follow up they said they had nothing on file. I eventually got a reference number but I'm having trouble navigating their online form with attachments since I'm not very comfortable with computers. I had to go to the emergency room on October 12th due to a serious back issue and had imaging done. Since I did purchase the travel insurance at the time of booking, I'm hoping someone can help me sort this out with the insurance claim.
