Getting out of a subscription here is nearly impossible. A newspaper article mentioned a digital copy which somehow ended up in my mailbox without my signing up. When I tried to cancel something I never requested, I got stuck talking to overseas sales staff. They had no record of me ever using the site but still wanted my password. If you enjoy spending thirty minutes trying to get out of something you never agreed to, this is perfect for you.

Wants you to pay for news that's available for free everywhere else. They should shut down completely. Nobody needs them, nobody wants them, and they serve zero purpose.

The worst publication on newsstands. Their articles don't reflect reality at all. Everything slants toward their own particular worldview. They're not reporting news, just pushing their personal opinions. The National Enquirer has more credibility. This place deserves way lower than one star if possible.

Last year I got a deal for a one dollar subscription because I signed up for the local paper. Turns out buried in the fine print was the promise of a forty dollar annual charge after that. I cancelled the local paper before renewal, but they went ahead and charged me anyway. Within two days of the charge I called and spoke with customer service. They said tough luck, no refunds, and I should just use my subscription. When I confirmed what they were telling me, it was clear they weren't budging. No prorated amount, no refund whatsoever. I was shocked at how little they cared. So I contacted my credit card company and disputed it. They gave me my money back right away. At least good credit card companies understand when something is a scam.

I wanted to share feedback on an article and couldn't believe they wanted my complete personal information just to leave a comment about it.

This outlet produces nothing but fabricated stories. Lumps itself in with other outlets known for spreading misinformation. Absolutely not worth spending time on.

They routinely minimize important stories and provide only shallow reporting. The daily headlines emphasize celebrity gossip and fluff pieces instead of substantive journalism.

This organization brings on staff without doing proper background checks and has serious safety concerns as a result.

This outlet pushes political propaganda and gives platform to editorials promoting harmful policies like cutting public education and raising retirement age. These ideas would seriously damage the country.

Wish I could give zero stars! Absolutely ridiculous. A lighthearted post about a soft drink gets flagged for missing context. No wonder people think Americans aren't smart. Time to get it together.

The billing system here is absurdly complicated and impossible to navigate. It's like they designed it to confuse people on purpose. Takes forever just to process a cancellation. They refuse to send simple email statements with documents. The local paper they own is just recycled news from the bigger regional publication, and the site is badly managed. Their editor published a piece supporting sprawl so I ended up canceling. It's irresponsible journalism. They seem unwilling or too cheap to do real investigative work, just endless fluff. The whole thing feels intentional to kill real reporting. Then they act shocked their business is failing. It's like organized religion losing followers because it stopped being useful. These people are arrogant and delusional.

The slant in their coverage is incredibly obvious and one-sided. I'm done wasting my time going through their material ever again.

My two local papers are owned by this company and I subscribed online to both. My wife has her own account so I tried to cancel mine. The website wasn't working so customer service told me I had to call. The representative kept pushing for my wife's account info instead of just canceling my subscriptions. I had to mention reporting to the state attorney general's office multiple times. After asking five times to cancel, she finally agreed and promised confirmation emails. I never got them and I doubt I ever will. I won't touch papers owned by this business.

You can count on finding this paper wherever you travel internationally. Besides the Wall Street Journal for business coverage, it's often the only English language paper offering national perspective. That said they waste this valuable platform. They're heavily biased and it keeps getting worse. Before an election it becomes crystal clear how slanted they are. I recently read a piece where a politician was convicted in the court of public opinion without actual legal proceedings. That's pure editorial disguised as reporting. I'm genuinely let down.

I'm worn out by their constant negativity and one-sided coverage. Where's the balanced reporting and factual journalism?
