I’ve been a loyal Wix customer for over 10 years, but this experience has been deeply disappointing.I was charged for an annual plan that I did not intend to renew. Prior to the renewal, I received an email stating that I needed to take action if I wanted to continue the yearly plan, which led me to believe that no action would mean reverting to monthly billing, as had happened before.Despite explaining this clearly and providing the email as evidence, Wix has refused any form of refund or reasonable solution. As a small business owner, this annual charge is a significant amount of money and has a real impact on my cash flow.What makes this especially frustrating is that I’ve always had positive experiences with Wix support in the past. The lack of flexibility and empathy in this case does not reflect the customer-friendly image Wix promotes.I would have expected at least a partial refund or a goodwill gesture, especially given my long-term loyalty. Unfortunately, this experience has seriously damaged my trust in Wix.

Buyer Beware

So I have dealt with Wix for a few years. Buyer beware. They almost doubled my yearly subscription. I called Wix and said I wanted to cancel. I did and they tried to charge me twice. My bank is now contacting them for such unethical behaviour.

Hello Wix Support Team,My refund request for direksiyonizmir.net (965.40 TL) was rejected, but this is NOT a standard domain refund.On December 19, 2025, 14 domains were purchased, and the amount was charged TWICE to my credit card due to a technical error (double charge).Wix invoice shows only one payment, but my bank statement shows two identical charges of 965.40 TL.I do NOT want to cancel the domains – I only want a refund of the EXTRA charge.Proof attached (bank statement and invoice).Please process the refund for the duplicate payment only.

Beware: Wix Payments will halt your business without warning.

I am beyond frustrated with the service—or lack thereof—from Wix. On Dec 16th, I processed a payment for two services. Two days later, my funds were frozen for "unusual activity." The reason? My client spent more than my previous average transaction. Apparently, at Wix, growing your business is a red flag.​The communication has been a nightmare. I was asked to provide ID that they already had on file, followed by a five-day silence. When I finally got an agent on the phone, they suddenly demanded IRS documents and bank statements that I was never previously notified about.​Despite providing everything and being promised an "expedited" review, my account is still stuck in compliance limbo. It is now Dec 23rd, and Wix has effectively halted my business production and ruined the holiday season for my family. If you are a small business owner who needs reliable access to your own hard-earned money, look elsewhere.

Wix auto renewal unethical

Wix auto renewal may be legal but it is unethical. My Premium Plan was renewed without my consent in November. Wix says it sent me advance notice of the renewal but I never saw it. In any regard I tried to cancel my account when I received notice of the withdrawl of nearly$800 from my bank. Wix would not allow me to cancel citing their 'policy.' I disputed this but to no avail. I have now transferred my domain to another povider and simply want to end all involvement with Wix. I have attemped to cancel my account on the Wix site, they can keep the $800, I just want to end all service from them but , catch 22, but because I have prepaid for two years (against my wishes) the website won't allow me to cancel.I would not recommend Wix to anyone, they may be within their rights to charge customers in advance but I consider their practice and policy to be unethical

Absolutely Sickening. Refused Refund

I accidentally waited 1 day too long to cancel my subscription for the following year and customer service refused to refund the annual payment (or at the very least pro-rate). Customer service is always extremely difficult to get in contact with and has never once been helpful in the 3 years that I had them. But I find it sickening that a large company would be totally fine keeping a small businesses $500 which might cause me to not be able to pay my rent. Never EVER use WIX! I just moved over to shopify and their customer service experience has actually been pleasant so far, and is cheaper.

Wix is terrible. Its is a scam. DO NOT USE. They charge your card repeatedly after service have ended. No communication. Its a scam!
