First time visiting the South Street location in Simpsonville SC and unfortunately my last. The cashier was unfriendly and charged me too much on three items, totaling $14 overcharge. Food section wasn't well stocked either. I've had good experiences at other Big Lots locations, but this store was disappointing all around.

Purchased a double recliner that developed issues shortly after. Big Lots issued me a $350 gift card for a replacement or anything else in the store. When we tried to use it later, we were told it's no longer valid. Can't believe we're out $350 now and they won't honor the warranty coverage they provided.

Very upset with Big Lots customer service. I ordered a makeup vanity in early December 2024 and got a confirmation email saying it'd arrive by end of month. Never got any notice that delivery wouldn't happen. When I finally called to ask about timing, I learned Big Lots had canceled the order due to stock issues. Why send a purchase confirmation with a delivery date if it was out of stock? Found the same item on Wayfair instead. I've bought 4 or 5 furniture pieces over the past 4 years, but recent online and in store purchases haven't gone well. Closing my account.

Really disappointed with the service and furniture quality. The pieces don't hold up well and won't last through the year. Getting anything fixed under warranty is nearly impossible, and they don't stand behind their one year commitment. My sectional broke and the cushions are sagging on the floor. The materials feel cheap. Won't be shopping there again.

Ordered a couch for same day delivery in the afternoon window. It never showed, so Big Lots sent it via DoorDash in a large box we had to assemble ourselves. Once we started building it, we discovered a critical piece was missing, the backrest. Support has been unhelpful for over 3 weeks now, just giving us the runaround. They're refusing to refund without returning it first, but the partially assembled couch won't even fit in a vehicle. Multiple agents disconnected on us and store employees hung up. They say another DoorDash is coming to pick it up eventually. This is the worst customer service I've experienced.

Big Lots needs to catch up with how the rest of the world does business. Got a store card to buy a sofa. I wanted to pay with my debit card but they stopped accepting card payments online and by phone. Then they stopped taking payments in the store too. Once I pay off this balance, I'm done shopping there.

Placed an order and paid in full, but the item never arrived. Customer service sent me emails saying it was on the way, yet here I am still waiting to receive it. Would really appreciate someone from the company reaching out to figure out how to make this right.

I'm frustrated with the poor attitude from staff at the Sam Rittenberg location in Charleston SC. Both the cashier and the day manager have unpleasant demeanors and make customers feel unwelcome. Nobody should be treated badly when they're spending their money. I visited on September 10th at noon and we all deserve better than this.

I love coming to shop here whenever I can. The employees are helpful, everything is organized and clean, and there's a huge variety of merchandise. This is honestly my favorite place to shop. Don't let them close down Big Lots. Keep those amazing coupons and deals coming.

Ordered an outdoor gazebo that cost over $1,000 with delivery. When they called to schedule delivery on July 2nd, the representative was rude and refused to place the heavy 350 pound item in my backyard even though the space is suitable. After I declined delivery, I called to cancel and request a refund. Still no confirmation as of July 10th despite 3 emails and another call. I ended up ordering from Lowes instead and got free backyard delivery plus saved $300. Won't be ordering large items from Big Lots again.

Want to give a shout out to Taylor, the furniture manager at the Muskogee location. We purchased a sectional and ran into some issues at home. The fabric quality wasn't great after just 2 months. Taylor immediately stepped up with different solutions and worked persistently with the manufacturer to get us replacement cushion covers. Her customer service was excellent and we really appreciate her help.

Been a loyal customer at the Burbank location on South Cicero for years. The associates are fantastic. Frances the manager really went above and beyond helping me today. On my visits on June 11th and 12th, the team was equally great assisting me find and purchase a bed and motion frame. One young man on the 12th was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, really professional. Prices are unbeatable and it's a one stop shop. Big Lots is the best.
