Worst e-commerce site out there. They mess something up and stick the customer with the bill.

Selling on this platform is torture. I used it all the time back 20 years ago and it was solid. Now buyers back out of their bids about 30 percent of the time with no consequences. Also, you can only leave positive feedback? What is this, kindergarten where we pretend everything is fine? eBay is a joke and I'm shutting down my seller account.

I called to update my phone number on an account I've had for 20 years. They locked me out because I couldn't recall the postal code. I gave them ten years of past postal codes and my old phone number, but they still blocked everything. Don't waste your time with eBay.

Used eBay for 20 years with five stars and perfect feedback on both sides. Just tried their authenticity guarantee for the first time after receiving fake boxing gloves. eBay made me send them back, then rejected my refund AND never returned the item. I paid for it and paid to ship it to them, and got absolutely nothing back. Closed my account. I'm frustrated enough to avoid them even though it's inconvenient. Their customer service is unbelievable.

Got razors recently but only half my order showed up. When I asked eBay for help, they told me to call the police to get my refund. What? eBay is a complete joke. Stay away.

This is the absolute worst service. It's total fraud. It's gotten embarrassing. The customer service is garbage. I'd give it zero stars if the system allowed it.

A buyer scammed me and I reported everything to eBay with all the details about the transaction. They decided to refund the buyer straight from my bank account. I had perfect feedback as both a buyer and seller for 25 years. That was it for me. I closed my eBay account and I'm never going back.

I'd give zero stars if I could. Ordered something and got the wrong item back. When I returned it, they only refunded part of what I paid with zero explanation. After sending it back and getting confirmation they received it, customer service disappeared. Three weeks later they said I'd have my money in 3 business days. Two weeks passed with nothing. Then they said 24 to 72 hours. It's been days and I'm still waiting. I'm not confident I'll ever see that refund.

eBay has really tanked over the past year. Almost everything now goes through DHL, so expect to get hit with $20 in extra charges on each package. Recently a ton of stuff I ordered didn't ship for over ten days after I bought it. When I asked to cancel before they shipped, eBay said no. Try alternatives like abebooks, Amazon, or Facebook Marketplace instead. eBay is basically a scam site now.

Spent 3 hours across multiple phone calls and one chat trying to sort this out. Multiple reps gave me wrong information, all reading the same script, and nobody fixed anything. eBay charged me bogus import fees on an international order from a country that doesn't even charge duties. This is a masterclass in bad customer service. Their policies are rigid and nobody can bend them. Worst part is the reps don't even understand their own policies, telling me things that are wrong according to a quick Google search. I'd only shop here if the item was completely unavailable anywhere else.

My account got suspended out of nowhere. I reached out asking why and got told it was indefinite with no reason. When I followed up, they warned me not to open another account or they'd find out. I called and talked to someone who thanked me for being a customer for over 4 years, then after 15 minutes of checking my account told me not to call back and hung up, saying it was final. All I do is buy cars like Hot Wheels and Batman stuff for my family. Still no explanation.

Bought sunglasses listed as new with tags from a seller. Got somebody's old used prescription glasses instead. Sent them back without paying the brokerage fee. eBay won't back me up and expects me to cover the shipping cost for the seller's mistake. When I asked why, they said it goes to a forwarding center and they can't do anything about it. The whole shipping setup is a mess and nobody takes responsibility. I lost my product while the seller who sent the wrong item actually came out ahead since eBay won't take accountability. You can't even leave feedback on the seller or the buyer protection reps. This place is a straight up scam.

eBay hosts tons of fraudulent sellers. I've submitted at least six reports about criminal fraud by sellers and every single time eBay says the seller is innocent. It's clearly some automated response, but it also shows how eBay actually operates. They dodge responsibility no matter what, even with proof of serious criminal fraud. I'm wrapping up my account because I trusted them but not anymore. They've lost their human touch and just found a way to ignore all complaints. Buyers get burned and sellers go unpunished with zero recourse. The site claims you can challenge any decision by eBay or their system, but that's fake. I have six examples proving it wrong. Even when you get a real person on the phone, they're in a overseas office paying minimum wage.

Placed an order and waited over a month. Watched it bounce around at a fake address in the US. When I pushed eBay hard about where my part was, they deleted my entire account. Now there's no record of my order or my purchase. eBay is just a bunch of scammers.

Ordered an oil seal for my car. Right after placing the order, I realized it would take forever to get here so I cancelled it minutes later. eBay claimed the order shipped instantly, which doesn't make sense. Now when I try to return it, they want $16 in shipping fees. That's not fair at all. I'm done with eBay after this.
