Don't buy this product. After 2 years of owning it, they discontinued the filters and now my machine is useless. That's completely wrong. The filters were pricey to begin with, and then they just stop making them. How is that acceptable? You buy a machine that needs filters and then the company stops producing them. My SoClean 3 is basically worthless now after I spent over 400 dollars on it a couple years back. They quit making the filters. Absolutely ridiculous!
The hinges on my SoClean 2 lid broke and it happened again when I called them. They made me provide all my personal information first, then told me there are no replacement lid parts available and I'd have to buy a whole new machine. That's planned obsolescence right there. They built a lid with cheap, thin plastic hinges that fail, and then they make money off selling another expensive unit. I'm going to find a different way to clean my cpap equipment.
I can't see how this thing is supposed to work! The odor it produces in your mask and tubing has to be bad for you! It's awful. When I look at all these glowing reviews I really question if they're legit. There's absolutely no way you can use this device without noticing that terrible smell. Don't get this if you care about your health!
I got a SoClean 2 back in October 2020 and it worked fine initially. But then my Philips CPAP manufacturer told me the machine had been recalled and warned me to stop using the SoClean because it could damage my equipment. I got a replacement CPAP from ResMed and they said using SoClean would actually void my warranty. I've been asking for a refund but SoClean customer service never got back to me. The Better Business Bureau has been trying to help but SoClean won't back their product. They just say they're suing Philips. Before you buy, definitely contact your CPAP maker to make sure they're okay with this device.
Been using the so clean for about 6 months and just realized it's not even FDA approved. How does that even happen? I started noticing a weird smell coming from my cpap when I'd start it up. I'd clean my mask, water tank and tubing thinking that was the issue but nothing helped. Now I'm back to washing everything by hand every single day just to avoid that smell.
