I really wanted to support this black-owned business as a woman of color, but I've had such a terrible time that I'm left with no choice but to dispute the charges with my card and file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. A family member gave me a digital gift card as a birthday present, and it never showed up. After waiting over a month and sending several emails with zero replies, customer service finally got back to me without any explanation and just resent it. Even though they eventually fixed that issue, I wasn't confident ordering again. When my products finally arrived, the foundation stick came broken and completely melted. I've emailed them multiple times asking for a replacement and still haven't heard back. This situation is unacceptable. The actual quality of what they sell can't make up for how badly this company is being run and the lack of basic customer communication. I won't be shopping there again and I'm telling everyone I know to stay away.

USPS didn't lose anything, Mented got paid for shipping, they got paid for the product, but I ended up with nothing and money gone on both counts. The carrier did find the package eventually, but the way I was treated made me feel like my business didn't matter to them.

This brand is fantastic for people of color. They're responsive and get back to you pretty quickly, usually within a day. I highly recommend checking them out.

Their shade sticks are honestly incredible and everyone should know about them because the shade range is so inclusive. My one complaint is that I wish they had more stuff in their catalog. I've basically bought everything I want and keep wishing for new releases. The packaging always arrives in perfect condition, dealing with their team is straightforward, and I haven't had shipping problems. One time they forgot to include a gloss in my order, so I called them up and they shipped out a replacement right away without making a big deal about it. The customer service team was super friendly and professional. But honestly the products themselves are just the best. When I want that natural look, this is where I go. I also love that you can use the shade sticks for contouring and concealing, and they give you helpful info about which shade works for what.
