iFLY Indoor Skydiving US Reviews
iFLY Indoor Skydiving receives sharply divided reviews, with shoppers either highly enthusiastic about the experience or frustrated with business practices and service issues. Positive reviewers praise the actual flying experience itself and highlight exceptional instructors who make the activity fun and accessible for first-timers. However, recurring complaints center on several serious concerns: customers report not receiving paid add-ons like professional photos despite multiple follow-up attempts, significant waits despite having scheduled reservations, discrepancies between promised and actual flight time (with customers reporting they received far fewer minutes than booked), high pricing relative to actual airtime, and additional unexpected charges like parking validation failures. Some reviewers also report poor customer service responsiveness and rude staff behavior.
The polarized rating distribution (50 percent five-star and 40 percent one-star reviews with little middle ground) suggests that while the core activity can be excellent, the surrounding service, pricing structure, and customer support create frustration for many customers. Issues with honoring bookings, delivering paid extras, and managing expectations appear to be the primary drivers of negative feedback, whereas the quality of individual instructors and the thrill of the experience itself earn praise when service goes smoothly.
Loved every minute of the actual flying and the instructor team! We booked this for my son's birthday. They talked us into paying extra for professional photos during the experience, but when it was over we never got the pictures. I reached out about five or six times trying to get somebody to help us access them but nobody ever called or emailed back. The customer service side really let us down. We still don't have access to the photos from the birthday flight.
They took advantage of me in multiple ways. And on top of that, when I tried to use their parking validation, it didn't work so I had to pay an extra fifteen bucks. They nickel and dime you at every turn. Total scam.
I got my husband a flight gift so he could try skydiving safely. We showed up at our scheduled time and just kept waiting. I'd never sit around that long at a doctor's appointment, so waiting over an hour for a booked activity was ridiculous. This happened quite a while back, so now I have a voucher from when we checked in. I tried looking on their site to see if it's still good, and I couldn't find anything about expiration dates. I thought maybe it never expires. When I entered the voucher code on their website, it just spun in circles and wouldn't load. The company is definitely real since we've been there, but their website is seriously broken. I should be able to look up my voucher status without this hassle. Their site is still loading as I write this. It's so frustrating!
I reserved a full hour in the wind tunnel for one grown-up and five kids and I was really clear about wanting the full hour spent flying. The person booking confirmed it would be sixty minutes in the tunnel, no question. I made sure to repeat myself and get it all straightened out. In the end, we only got 26 minutes of actual flight time after taking out time for gear. The first thirty minutes wasn't in the air. I called to ask if we could at least get a partial refund since the total was over twelve hundred dollars. They basically said sorry but no. That was the end of it for me. I won't send anyone there or go back myself.
Way too pricey. You're paying fifty eight dollars so someone can hold you for two minutes, and if you want to actually fly higher than a meter or so, that's another twenty dollars, except oh wait, that comes out of your two minute time anyway. Total ripoff. Plus the guy running the high fly was super rude. He walked right past me, nearly knocked my phone out of my hands, and didn't even say sorry before heading downstairs.
Definitely go check out iFLY! The experience was so much fun and I gotta give a shout out to my instructor Tommy Turbo who is an excellent teacher. I seriously recommend him. In just fourteen minutes I went from never doing this to doing it really well and I'm definitely coming back soon. He's honestly the best around. THANK YOU iFLY!!!
I bought a deal online that was supposed to give me and my friend each two flights. Two days before we were set to go, they called to confirm and said I only had two flights total for just one person. That wasn't the offer I saw and that wasn't what I paid for. Their only solution was to refund my money. They wouldn't stand behind what they advertised. I've gone there twice before but I'm done wasting money there now. This was supposed to be a birthday gift experience for my daughter and me to share.
What an incredible time from start to finish. People of all ages had a blast. My six year old has not stopped talking about how awesome iFLY was during our whole trip. The team there really knows their stuff and keeps things laid back at the same time. That combination made the whole thing so enjoyable. We really appreciated it.
iFLY 1 out of 10 under the new management. I'm an experienced flyer. The check-in process took an hour which made me miss two separate ten minute flights. Those flights were booked for an hour and a half but the whole thing took seven hours to finish. The operation is a mess being run by inexperienced people. All the good staff members have quit except for one person who's just scamming people. Staff get paid commission on selling more flight time so they turn the wind speed down so you struggle and feel like you need to buy extra flights. Money grab central. The bathrooms were filthy, floors gross, lockers all broken, and poor instruction in the tunnel caused injuries. At twelve hundred dollars per hour we got nothing but chaos and waiting around for hours.
My son had two minutes booked and my daughter had four. The instructor suggested she do it as two separate two minute flights. My daughter struggled, so she only got thirty seconds the first time and forty seconds the second time. The instructor never asked if she wanted to keep trying so she could get more full flights in, and didn't give my son any extra time even though he was doing awesome and having a blast. We basically lost money on the deal. They sell individual minute flights for fourteen dollars discounted, so we got shorted. I emailed the location afterward and they said they only go by security footage and what the instructor says happened, and they claimed they offered my son more time which is completely false. They also said they won't refund since we already used the vouchers. I've traded several emails with someone at the desk but the manager who initially responded to my complaint has totally ghosted me. My son also wanted to buy the high fly upgrade but got overlooked. Even after I knocked on the glass to point it out and the instructor acknowledged me, she just did the teacher's demonstration instead of giving my son his turn.
I received a voucher as a birthday present. On the day I was supposed to go, there was a major transit issue that shut down all train service from London to the area, so I couldn't get there. I explained what happened to iFLY when I called that day and again when I tried to reschedule. They hit me with a fifteen dollar fee to move my booking. It wasn't right, especially since the situation basically ruined my birthday and I doubt the flight experience will make that better. The customer service team showed zero understanding and just gave me the business talk about how they lose money when spots go unfilled, which is funny because they actually offered me other time slots that day with no charge that I couldn't use anyway due to the same travel problem. Definitely can't recommend them.
Absolutely amazing experience. The adrenaline was unreal and I loved every second. I'm definitely coming back. It was such a special and unforgettable day that doubled as my fiftieth birthday celebration. Big thanks to Amalia, Will and Dominik for making it so memorable and finishing with that awesome high flight moment.
What an amazing time. It was such an adrenaline rush and I absolutely had a blast. I'm hooked now. It turned into an unforgettable day that was a perfect fiftieth birthday celebration. Huge thanks to Amalia, Will and Dominik for making it so special and really going all out with the high flight.
Sam was absolutely terrific. There were a bunch of kids with us and he connected with every single one. He was so attentive, kind and careful with all of them. Everyone left feeling calm and it was an incredible experience. It was really cool seeing the instructors fly around with so much talent at the end! You could see how hard it is to balance alone. I have tons of respect for them. Thanks so much for making it such an awesome time!
We took our family of four to celebrate our son turning eighteen and it was perfect. All of us went, even my thirteen year old daughter, and none of us had done this before. We had a fantastic time with our instructor Daniel who kept things entertaining the whole way through and really knew what he was doing. It costs a fair amount but it's worth every penny. Coming from a place where you can't really do activities like this, we'd seriously consider going back again someday.
