What Shoppers Say About Antennas Direct
Antennas Direct receives polarized feedback from shoppers. A five-star reviewer praised the customer service team, specifically highlighting Ben from support for taking time to understand their needs and providing thoughtful antenna recommendations with genuine care for getting the right product.
However, two one-star reviewers expressed significant disappointment with antenna performance. Both complained that products underperformed compared to specifications and competitor models like Stellar Labs and ClearStream alternatives. One reviewer noted that the Goliath UHF antenna delivered fewer channels than a competing model when tested in the same location, while another reported that performance degraded after a couple of months despite the antenna's 60-mile range rating. Shoppers indicated the antennas did not deliver on promised specifications and questioned their value for the price.

Sorted by: Most recentI'm disappointed with the Goliath UHF antenna from this company. Their website really oversells what this thing can do, but when I actually tested it against the Stellar Labs model, it came up short. I put both antennas in the same spot pointing at local stations, and the Stellar Labs pulled in twice as many channels. All the broadcast towers in my area are clustered within just two degrees of each other, which is well within the Goliath's supposed 24 degree range, but it still underperformed. The one thing I'll say is that the build quality is solid and feels durable, but that doesn't make up for the weak reception compared to cheaper alternatives that actually work better.
The customer service team at this company really impressed me. I got to talk with Ben from their support team, and he actually took time to understand what I was dealing with and gave me solid recommendations about which antenna would work best for me. He was friendly, genuinely wanted to help, and went the extra mile to make sure I got the right solution. I'm definitely going to shop with them again in the future and have already started telling my friends and family about the great experience I had.
This antenna is rated for 60 miles of range, but don't believe the hype. Initially it seemed okay when I first set it up, but after a couple of months the performance tanked. I'm lucky if I can pick up 20 channels now. Definitely not worth the money and nowhere near what the specs promise. The ClearStream Max-xr that I bought keeps giving me choppy signals, and half the time the channels won't even come through properly. My advice is to skip this one and put your money elsewhere.
