What Shoppers Say About Lifetouch
Lifetouch has received overwhelmingly negative feedback from shoppers, with 19 reviews averaging 1.3 out of 5. The most consistent complaints center on severe customer service failures, including unresponsive support staff, difficulty reaching anyone by phone, and months-long delays in order fulfillment. Shoppers report quality issues such as poor photo editing (including failure to remove unwanted subjects), terrible cropping that obscures paid-for details, unprofessional photography work, and orders arriving incomplete or improperly prepared. Several reviewers experienced lost or missing photos with no compensation offered, and some received wrong file formats than what was ordered.
A small minority of shoppers (roughly 5 percent) gave positive ratings, but the overwhelming majority expressed that prices do not justify the quality received and characterized their experiences as among the worst customer service they have encountered. Common pain points include aggressive marketing emails using children's names, difficulty contacting support through multiple channels, and perceived indifference from the company when problems occur.

Sorted by: Most recentThis company showed zero professionalism with our order. They couldn't even remove the teacher from the photo, something I could handle myself in any basic editing software. When we asked for replacement prints, they sent pictures where the teacher's hands were still visible. Our son has special needs and deserves better quality work. A professional business should know how to edit out unwanted objects from images. There are free apps nowadays that would do a better job. I'm done giving them my money. The lack of effort is really frustrating.
Their customer service is nonexistent and they bombard you with marketing emails using your child's name. When my kid's school started using them, the first year photos were mailed to us. The prints had terrible cropping so I couldn't even fully see the grade and year information I'd paid extra for. I tried contacting support several times and sent pictures showing how badly they were cut. Nothing. Radio silence. Instead of help, I got hit with sales emails multiple times a week featuring my child's name in their marketing messages. It feels really inappropriate and uncomfortable.
They messed up our order and months later we're still waiting on half the photos. The ones that did arrive aren't even cut apart. I've sent tons of emails and never get a response. When I call them, it's nearly impossible to reach anybody. The customer service is really poor and the prices are way too high for the quality you're paying for. I wouldn't recommend them.
This company is absolutely terrible with one of the worst customer experiences I've ever had. They somehow lost all of my daughter's preschool photos and say they can't retake them or offer any compensation. How do you misplace a preschooler's photos? The pictures never even made it to the website. Every time I call, they hang up and won't give me any answers. I've sent several emails just asking for a simple update and it's been over a month. Now the online portal has locked us out. This company needs to be completely shut down.
Total rip-off. I specifically asked for printed copies but they delivered digital files instead. Don't bother with this company, trust me.
Terrible at photography. The photographer moved slowly with the baby pictures and left visible mucus dripping down the child's nose in the final images. The photographer clearly doesn't know how to take pictures. Every photo is just a tight head shot and it's completely throwing away your money.
Terrible at what they do. The photographer took forever with the baby pictures and didn't even clean up the photo before it was taken. There's mucus visible running down the child's nose in the shots. The photographer clearly has no idea what they're doing. Every single image is just a tight headshot and it's a complete waste of money.
One problem after another after another. The actual photographer did great work and took excellent pictures, but we never got them. So they made a replacement order except they spelled the name wrong on the print. Now we're waiting on yet another replacement. Every time I call customer service, I get someone I can barely understand and it takes forever. I'm on hold for over ten minutes just to talk to somebody, and then the actual conversation takes at least thirty minutes to sort everything out. It's so exhausting.
They should spend more time actually photographing young kids properly. My granddaughter's pictures weren't nearly as good as they should've been. Nobody adjusted her hair, nobody straightened her necklace, and the framing was way too close. Really let down by the whole thing. Just read through the reviews on your site if you want to know what everyone else thinks. I could've taken a better picture with my regular cell phone.
Absolutely horrible company, and I have no idea why schools keep using them. Photos that go missing during shipping? That makes me wonder what else they're losing or how they're protecting your personal information. Are my credit card details safe with them? I spent 30 minutes on hold waiting for someone to pick up. Before that, I wasted 45 minutes chatting with someone overseas who couldn't communicate clearly. Eventually I just gave up. This customer service is absolutely unacceptable, and everyone working there who tolerates this should be ashamed.
