I've had a great experience with Stash's subscription for a long time with zero problems. Recently got a message that I needed to update my credit card info. Went to log in and handle it myself, but the subscription management section just vanished from the website. There's literally no way to update payment details, pause, cancel, or make any changes. Sent multiple emails and got nothing back. Found a phone number and called today, but got an automated system. When I asked for a real person, they said representatives were limited and someone might call back in 24 to 48 hours. Really let down by how this was handled.
So here's the thing about Stash Tea. I'm rating based on how they handled my website order, though I've had totally different experiences before. I've always bought through Amazon in the past and been happy with fast delivery and communication. This time I used their website, which wasn't too bad to navigate. Purchased on March 27 with everything in stock and set up a three-week subscription. Thought it would arrive by April 2 or 3, but got no status updates. The order didn't even process until April 8 and didn't arrive until April 14, nearly three weeks later. It's the end of April now and I still have no sign that my subscription reorders have gone through, which honestly doesn't surprise me given how slow the first order was. I'll shop with them again, but definitely not through their website. Stick with Amazon if you want reliable service.
I drink a lot of tea and really enjoy their lemon ginger blend, but there's one huge problem. The tea bags constantly pop open during brewing and all the loose leaves end up floating in my cup. This happens every single time. Made a cup just now and it happened again, so I had to dig out a coffee filter and deal with a whole mess just to make it drinkable instead of tossing it. I'd really appreciate if someone from the company could reach out and figure out how to fix this issue.
Ordered something on November 16 when everything was in stock. Three days later, I got an email saying one item was out of stock and the whole order would be delayed while they tried to find it, which could take up to 10 business days. Now it's December 6, still no order, and no updates. I replied to their November 19 email and got nothing. Tried calling and dealt with endless automated menus and a useless bot, supposedly got transferred to someone, but the line went dead. Got told to email instead. This was a Friday afternoon around 2:30 PT, and apparently they close at 4 PM and don't reopen until Monday, even during busy holiday season. Not impressed at all.
I've complained several times with absolutely no response. Bought their decaf chai spice tea bags, which aren't cheap, but the box only has 18 bags. The spices taste fine, but the black tea base is incredibly weak. Even using two bags at once doesn't give you a decent cup. Wish I could give zero stars but the system won't let me. Very unhappy with this purchase.
Got a big tea order and opened the shipping box to find a disaster inside. The outer box was fine, but someone had just crammed all the tea boxes in there and crushed them down to basically half their original size. The box was huge, so there was plenty of room. Hands down my favorite tea brand out of hundreds I've tried. Whenever I travel between Canada and the US, I always stock up and bring packs back home to Europe. Their Chai Spice Black Tea is exceptional, and I've heard from other customers that it's one of their top picks too. Right now I'm enjoying a cup and thought I should show some appreciation for a quality product. Thanks from Sweden!
