What Shoppers Say About Duke Cannon Supply Co.
Duke Cannon Supply Co. generates sharply divided opinions, with shoppers either strongly praising or sharply criticizing the brand. Positive reviewers consistently highlight the quality and variety of scents in the soap line, appreciate the company's military community support, and feel the products offer good value. Loyal customers who have purchased since 2018 report genuine satisfaction and convenience with the ordering options. However, detractors raise significant concerns about product quality changes, claiming soaps have lost scent longevity and that formulations now lack the grit and natural feel they once had. Multiple reviewers note texture issues and compare the products unfavorably to competitors. Customer service failures emerge as a recurring complaint, with shoppers reporting automated-only support and unexpected subscription charges without adequate notification.
The polarized rating distribution (29 percent one-star and 29 percent five-star reviews) suggests Duke Cannon may have undergone reformulations or operational changes that satisfied existing customers view negatively. Some reviewers explicitly reference discontinuations and product alterations as dealbreakers. Subscription-related frustrations and perceived indifference to loyal customers appear alongside the product quality concerns, creating a pattern of dissatisfaction among critics. The brand retains a devoted following, but retention issues and communication gaps seem to be driving recent negative sentiment.

Sorted by: Most recentDuke Cannon makes really good soap. People giving them lower ratings seem harsh honestly. I genuinely think they're the best natural soap company around. The scents are fantastic and keep getting better. I'm a believer in what they do. Best bang for your buck out there. Thanks for making quality stuff.
Duke Cannon deserves five stars. Started using them back in 2018 when I found them at a local store and have been hooked ever since, especially after winning some stuff from their holiday promotion that year. As a vet, I really respect how they support the military community. Plus it's convenient being able to order from their site or pick stuff up at multiple retailers. My go-to items: Campfire Soap is unmatched, Sawtooth Solid Cologne smells amazing and my wife agrees, Bloody Knuckles works wonders on my dry hands, the Cannon Balm lip balm is huge and lasts ages, and their deodorants are solid quality overall though I'm still finding my favorite scent. I really miss their hand sanitizer from the pandemic and those body and foot powders that were perfect for staying fresh. Would love to see those powders and their scented non-candles come back. Can't recommend them enough to anyone looking for quality grooming gear.
Duke Cannon clearly doesn't care about their loyal customers anymore. They've changed literally everything. Their soaps have no scent after a couple days, even the brand new bars. Bloody Knuckles now smells like chemicals and stale air. The deodorants are mediocre at best. Their packaging looks sanitized and soft. They discontinued beard products that people loved. And I've gotten tons of friends and family hooked on their stuff over the years, but we're all disappointed now. Dr. Squatch is too pricey and their soap only lasts a few days anyway. I'm looking for another company that actually makes real men's products like Duke used to. The company needs to get back to what made them great. Wake up Duke Cannon and fix this. Make things the way they were.
Awful experience. The customer support is basically nonexistent and just automated responses. The worst part is they don't give you any heads up about subscription shipments coming your way, so there's no chance to check if you actually want what's on the way.
Was hoping this would be better than Dr. Squatch but it's actually a step backward. The texture is way too smooth, basically no grit at all. Scents are really subtle and don't feel natural. Honestly it's just a fancy-shaped version of a cheap deodorant brand. Not impressed with the quality and now I'm stuck with four bars I can't use. Only giving them a star because they support our military.
Really dig how many different options they have. The scent variety and pricing tiers work well together. My only complaint is the cologne bottles could be bigger, but honestly for what you're paying it's still a solid deal.
Ten bucks for a tiny tube of face lotion. Got the dry skin version but I have to slather it on three or four times every day and my skin's not even that dry. The tube only lasted about four or five days which means you're looking at spending way too much monthly if you keep buying it. Only product I actually like from them is the solid cologne. Their bar soap is huge and yanks hairs off your chest.
Can't really say much about the company itself since I've been ordering through Amazon. Only tried their Midnight Swim deodorant so far. That stuff is a winner though. Smells fantastic and keeps you fresh all day long. I'd tell anyone to try it.
Had a question about an order I placed about 8 days before. Sent an email around 11am asking what was going on. Their response said it was already shipped and gave me tracking info. Problem is when I looked at the tracking link, nothing had shipped yet. The label was literally just created at 12:20pm that same day. Why tell me it shipped when you know I can check and see that's not true?
Their soap bars are fantastic. I've been buying them for years and they consistently deliver great scents and last forever. Their seasonal holiday scents are always solid too. I'd definitely recommend them if you're into quality soap. Haven't dealt with the company directly since I usually grab them from a UK retailer, but the product itself is excellent.
