Sorted by: Most recentSkip the update purchases here because they're full of mistakes. I have a 2015 Subaru and kept putting off the expensive map update fee for years. Finally decided to bite the bullet in late 2022 and download one. Total waste of money. The update has lots of inaccuracies on major roads that should definitely be correct. I use an older Garmin Nuvi that gets free updates and works way better. Don't spend your cash on these overpriced map updates.
The customer support team here is incredibly unprofessional. When I called, the representative was dismissive and refused to actually hear what I was saying about my issue. I've been in tech support since 1980 and still work with computers, so I get that phone support is tough. But good customer service is a skill, and this company clearly doesn't prioritize training their staff in it. The whole map update procedure is confusing and way too complicated. Plus the prices for updates are way too high considering you can grab a Garmin for less cash and get free lifetime updates. I'd give them zero stars if I could.
Got my Jeep map updated back in May 2019 and now the navigation sends me to completely wrong places. I wish I could go back to using the old map.
Terrible experience, the product doesn't even work. These people are running a scam.
This company is a total scam! They pocket your cash, send you something broken that doesn't function, and then completely ignore your requests for support or a replacement. Absolutely unacceptable.
Total garbage. Got a navigation stick with updates included on it. Traded in my vehicle a month later for the exact same model with the same VIN identifier code, but the company said I'd have to purchase another stick. Stay away from this outfit and find someone else. They refused to help at all. They claimed it wasn't their responsibility and blamed the manufacturer. I thought consumer protection laws made the vendor responsible for fixing product problems.
Don't throw your money away on this. I spent $164 Canadian and have been struggling to complete an update since September 2019 with zero results. Feels like they ripped me off. Wasted a ton of gas trying to get this working too. Probably won't recover my cash, but I want to warn others not to make the same mistake. Get yourself a newer car with current navigation instead.
Seriously don't spend your money here. I completed an update and they said it was successful, but my daughter's address in Minnesota still isn't showing up even though it's been around for years. SKIP THE UPDATE.
Ordered the CDs to update my Jeep Grand Cherokee and installed them following the instructions, but now my navigation system won't work at all. I phoned them and got told to install the CDs again (which didn't fix anything) or just hang tight and it might fix itself. The other option was dragging my vehicle to the dealership because the navigation is apparently frozen. Don't deal with these people. I'm pursuing a refund for the hundred dollars I spent plus whatever the dealer charges to fix the system.
These crooks are in a league of their own. They sell you a code but never actually provide the disc to download the maps, and it costs you a hundred bucks. Then they tell you to go to your dealer to get them downloaded, and the dealer charges another two hundred and ten dollars to install it in your vehicle. You're looking at almost three hundred and ten dollars total for everything. AVOID THESE PEOPLE. Plus most dealers won't even accept or perform these downloads.
