Then nothing for 8 whole days. Suddenly they email asking me to confirm I'm using different billing and shipping addresses. Because they waited a week to contact me, there's no way the package would've gotten there in time before I had to leave. I had to cancel. Why do they sit on orders for that long without checking?
I've been ordering since 2017 and generally like their product quality, prices, and how fast things arrive. That said, there's been a pattern of mix-ups with colors, sizes, and quantities. Customer service leaves something to be desired when these problems happen, but they have always made things right and resent corrected orders without charging me extra.
Really disappointed with this company and their lack of support. I lost over $300 worth of supplies in a mail mishap and Artbeads won't help me track down what happened or replace my items. I've had much better luck with places like Gempacked and House of Gems where actual people answer and you get real customer support. Those sites also have better pricing.
I placed an order for 8 inches of Regaliz leather to use in making a bracelet, but what arrived were just two separate 4-inch pieces. I contacted Artbeads to ask about getting the full continuous length I paid for. Their response was basically that they try to send items as one piece but sometimes they can't help it. It's frustrating that they'd send something that doesn't work for the project and then act like there's nothing wrong with that. Me and other jewelry makers I know have decided to shop with different retailers.
My order showed up in great condition with excellent padding. The prestige crystals were absolutely stunning and matched the colors perfectly! Shipping was surprisingly quick, way faster than I thought especially coming from overseas. Really impressed and definitely ordering again soon!
It's hard to write this because I used to really trust Artbeads over the past ten plus years. Unfortunately things have changed and not for the better. My recent delivery vanished after a system error sent it to an old address from years ago, even though I entered my current address through the normal checkout. With a time-sensitive deadline for supplies, I've tried reaching out multiple times through phone and email with barely any response aside from one wrong answer. I'm stuck scrambling to buy replacement items from other sellers on short notice. They switched to a third-party shipper based out of Salt Lake a few years ago for their so-called free shipping, which sometimes takes just as long as orders shipped from overseas to my area. Their prices have also gone up significantly over the last several years right around the time they put up their new website. Add in that they moved their warehouse location which slowed down processing even before it gets to the shipper, and everything just takes longer.
Artbeads has become my go-to shop because they stock exactly what I need for making knotted bead wrap necklaces. The selection is fantastic and the prices are unbeatable, especially for silk bead cord in different thicknesses and color options. They run sales frequently which is a nice bonus. I'm really satisfied with everything I've purchased and plan to keep ordering from them.
Don't expect their free shipping through UPS to be fast. You'll be waiting forever. On top of that the costs are pretty high compared to what you can find elsewhere.
I ordered items on December 7th and by December 17th they still hadn't shipped. I sent THREE separate emails asking them to get it out ASAP since I needed everything for Christmas crafts. On the 14th they finally emailed saying items were shipped, but the tracking number showed they only made a label and never actually dropped it off at the post office. That's completely unacceptable. I've gotten packages from India faster. This will be my last order. My past orders were fine so something's changed over there. When you're paying for something and counting on it arriving in time, it needs to ship immediately, especially since they charged my account the very next day. Businesses should treat shipping the same way they treat payment processing.
This company's customer service is nonexistent. In my order back in November 2019, I used my rewards points to get a small spool of non-tarnish silver wire free. Somehow I ended up being charged $2500 instead! Nobody picks up the phone, emails go unanswered, and the chat feature doesn't work either. I had to handle everything through PayPal and calling my credit card company to sort it out. Something sketchy is definitely going on with this place. This was only my fourth order and it's also my last.
