Sorted by: Most recentAvoid Dormify. That was my biggest mistake. Bought one of their bundles and everything is poor quality with dull color options that don't justify the high price. Nothing feels soft or comfortable like you'd want. The mattress messes with my back when I sleep. My roommates spent way less on foam toppers and their beds are actually cozy and amazing. When you buy bundles you don't get to pick what you like, which is the real problem. Plus they won't accept returns so now I'm stuck selling it myself. Just don't buy from here.
Fraudsters. Do yourself a favor and shop anywhere else, not here. I donated my son's rug, hamper, and nightstand when we finished moving him in because the quality was terrible. Three weeks after getting him settled, the headboard finally arrived. I tried calling, chatting, and emailing repeatedly. Impossible to reach anyone. When I did, they said it was a special order and nonrefundable. These people are con artists and totally untrustworthy.
Check Reviews First Before Ordering. I bought a dresser for my daughter's dorm for Christmas. Since she wasn't starting school until spring, we didn't open it right away, assuming it would be good quality. When we finally put it together, the parts box showed signs of being opened and resealed with tape. Two of the bars were bent and half the back panel was cracked. This was clearly a returned item they resold without checking. When I contacted them, they said there was nothing they could do since it was purchased so long ago. A real company would never send out damaged goods like that. Don't throw your money away here. You'll get cheap products and terrible support.
Partial Order With No Timeline. Got a college bundle for my son but only received 3 items out of everything I paid for. I picked a specific color but they said white was available and confirmed it before shipping. Never got sent. The support person couldn't tell me when the rest would show up. I even paid extra for faster shipping. At this point I'm out of time and she said she needs to check how to cancel my order. Unbelievable. This company doesn't have the stock and can't even cancel orders or give refunds? This is over $200 and it's not delivered with no date in sight. No way to print return labels for the partial shipment? Look elsewhere.
Broken Lighted Mirror Plus Bad Support. Got a lighted makeup mirror that was broken out of the box. Spent days going back and forth just trying to get a refund. Hands down the worst customer service I've ever dealt with. Skip this company.
Complete Mess of a Company. This is pathetic. I waited 7 weeks for a hutch to show up in my daughter's dorm, then got told another month wait. The preorder date kept changing four different times. How does a company take preorders for items they can't actually deliver on schedule? Show your customers some respect. Top management stays hidden while the same people you'd file complaints against keep doing whatever they want without any consequences. They have no phone line, only chat support. Probably AI since the people I talked to seemed clueless about everything. After multiple complaints, I demanded the order get cancelled. This was supposed to be my first kid of three going to college. Back to regular stores we go. We're done with Dormify and spreading the word about how bad they treat customers. That level of incompetence is unacceptable.
Scam Company. They never get half their packages delivered and then refuse to give any money back. Terrible support. Be careful before buying.
Packages Not Showing Up After Acquisition. Dormify took over dormroom.com, which we'd been buying care packages from for a couple years. That company was excellent. We always got shipping notices and could talk to our kids about what they received. Everything changed after Dormify acquired them. Packages stopped arriving. One we sent for finals in December never showed. Then the Valentine's package didn't arrive either. That's when we knew something was wrong. I emailed them last week and have been stuck in a frustrating loop ever since. They won't give refunds and claim all purchases are final. They're saying the college lost the packages and they're not liable. The college has never lost anything else, so two in a row from Dormify? Then they offer to resend it and ask me for the address when they should already have it if they actually delivered them. Their customer service is awful. They say they launched investigations but won't do anything till that's done, and they already said if the college lost them, we're out of luck. There's no chance they lost 2 consecutive packages.
Item broken and return costs are ridiculous. This product doesn't work and they want me to pay fees on top of shipping just to send it back. Total ripoff.
