Picking the right Lume scent matters. I had the tangerine version before and it smelled pretty nice. I tried alpine this time since I like spa-type scents in general. Unfortunately, this one has its own unpleasant odor that's not much better than body odor. They only offer a 60 day return window. I didn't use it right away and started using it recently, so now I'm past the return deadline.

The fragrance is nice, but the odor protection is basically nonexistent. I wanted to try Lume to see if it would help with my underarm odor. I find this marketing strategy tasteless and tone deaf, trying to profit off insecurities. Listen to what makes sense in your heart. Women are perfectly fine with normal hygiene and regular deodorant. Don't let anyone claiming to be an expert convince you otherwise just to make money off you.

Also, if you've relied on antiperspirant your whole life, your body needs time to adjust to not using it. My husband uses it now too and we're both very happy with it. He's a first responder and it works great for him. I love the soft powder and the clean tangerine scents. They updated the scent formula and they smell wonderful now.
