SCAMeo is right. Avoid at all costs. Got massively overcharged and they won't own up to it. Ordered a video that was supposed to be 84 pounds. Paid through Apple and got hit with 119.99 instead. Called Cameo and they said no go, claiming the app charged 117.99 USD (which doesn't even equal 119.99 anyway) and told me to deal with Apple. Apple says they don't handle payments for third party apps and that Cameo needs to take responsibility.

Horrible experience with zero protection if what you get isn't good enough. The video quality was bad and the message itself was really weak. Couldn't even share it with the person it was for. Two hundred bucks down the drain.

Total disaster and I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Tried ordering 2 video messages for my kids. The problem is they freeze your funds while giving these celebs 7 days to decide if they're even willing to do it. One person looked at my request and decided nope. The other person took too long and it timed out so I tried again but they just put me on a waiting list? Total scam! Even tried a fourth time, paid for it, but wound up canceling it so I lost money on 3 orders and got nothing back. Plus they hold your refund for another 5 to 7 days after that! Emailed them and got back the same explanation about their 7 day policy. My advice is skip this completely unless you want to give this company an interest free loan for two weeks. That's basically what's happening. They only want your money. No actual help from customer service and you can't even leave feedback properly. Probably explains everything. Don't bother.

Absolutely awful and I'm never going back. Ordered 2 video messages for my kids. Here's the thing though, they hold your money while they give these people 7 days to decide if they even want to do your video. One person saw my request and didn't feel like doing it. The other one ran out of time and expired so I tried again and they just threw me on a waiting list? Biggest waste ever! I even tried a third one, paid for it, but ended up canceling it. So I'm out money for 3 videos and got zero in return. Then they sit on your cash for another 5 to 7 days before they give it back! I emailed support and got back the same garbage explanation about the 7 day window. Don't do this unless you want to basically loan this company your money for 2 weeks. All they care about is your cash. No real customer support and nowhere to leave actual feedback. This is probably why they get away with it. Stay away.

This platform allowed someone convicted of murder to make money using their service. Even worse, she was using AI chatbots to write her responses and when a customer complained about it and left a bad review, the company actually deleted it. They protect someone with serious issues over the paying customers. Not a company I'd trust.

Wish I'd looked at other reviews first instead of trusting what they show on their own site. I shelled out extra cash for more characters just to explain what I was asking for. Had plenty of time before I needed it. Got back a really short video where the person clearly put in almost no effort, and even though I spelled out everything they should say, I couldn't make out half of what they were saying. Requested a redo. They acknowledged it but then went silent for 10 days. (Only heard back after I pestered them) Finally got a message saying they couldn't get it done in time?? I still have 2 weeks. They're just not interested in actually helping. I did end up getting refunded but what a waste of my time. Someone else said it best when they mentioned this place talks big but delivers small. They nailed it.

Overpromise and underdeliver should literally be their slogan. Got a video as a birthday surprise for my wife turning 50. Waited more than a week to hear back from a Strictly dancer and heard absolutely nothing. Not sure if these celebs are just too swamped or if the company is just setting people up for failure, but the whole thing is disappointing. Good idea but terrible how they actually do it.

Their motto should really be overpromise and underdeliver because that's exactly what they do. Ordered a video to surprise my wife for her 50th. Waited over a week for someone from Strictly to respond and nothing ever came. Whether it's the celebs being too busy or the company setting expectations way too high, I'm not sure. The idea sounds good but the way they run it is pretty terrible.

Got ripped off. Was hoping to get my wife a birthday greeting from her favorite podcast. Got absolutely nothing and when I tried to complain to the company they flat out refused to give me my money back. Won't touch this place again and I'm telling everyone I know to stay far away!

UPDATE: Rebooked two more times and both times the requests expired. They claim they talk to the celebs' people but it's absolutely absurd to charge hundreds and then act like they don't care because you can just get your money back anyway. Really don't get why they keep having celebs on there who obviously won't do the work. Original issue: Bought a video that was supposed to come in 24 hours. Didn't arrive. Contacted them and they're like oh it takes up to a week now. Request timed out after 3 days. Horrible service. Nobody replies to emails. If you're going to let these people flake, stop advertising the service.

Rip off! Took my money and sent a 4 year old video for someone's birthday that talked about covid lockdowns instead of being a get well message! Their support team is a joke. Got assigned one ticket number, emailed for a status update and got a second ticket number, then days later a third one! Filed a dispute with my credit card company. STAY AWAY. These people are criminals. UPDATE: After sitting on it for over a week even though they promised 24 hours, finally got an email with the video. I cancelled the credit card dispute but I'm still done with them. Good service matters and they don't have it.

Don't throw your money away here. I purchased 2 different videos and never got a single response from anyone. Looking at other comments, it's clear they take your cash and just disappear.
