  3. Under your “Trip Contact Information”, enter your promo code in the “Promotion Code” box.
  4. Press the “Continue” button to enjoy your American Airlines discount.

NOT all tickets are refundable. Check the refund policy for your ticket type when making your reservation.

If you purchased your ticket directly from American Airlines, arranging a refund is easy:

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the homepage and look under the “Help” column.
  2. Click on “Receipts and Refunds”.
  3. At the bottom of the “Refund Requests” paragraph, click the blue “Refund” link.
  4. Scroll down to “Request a Refund” and enter your name and ticket number.
  5. Follow the link to “Reservations” and cancel your reservation.

Paper tickets must be mailed to the American Airlines office in Phoenix, Arizona. The address is listed on the refund page.
