Eventually I had to get their complaints department involved and they finally acknowledged the mistake and sent the right one. That one also had the same fuzzy low volume problem. I just stopped engaging at that point and use them during regular hours instead. I would have been better off returning them to the original retailer but I can't do that now because the replacement is technically different. They are decent earbuds with solid noise cancelling when used normally.
