Horrible experience

Horrible experience! Ordered a refrigerator through a live person, took my money, went to pick item up at location of 1 hour drive. Item was not in stock at location THEY directed me too. Received a phone call from the manager on voicemail that it was not available AFTER already driving to location. Called customer service, got a person telling me it’s there waiting on you! I informed customer service rep 3 times what had occurred and FINALLY they look at the notes and acknowledge what had occurred. It’s December 2025 they tell me it will be available March 2026!! Really!!! No offer to help make it right, no offer to ship me another product, no offer to help but gave me a 800 number to call after the holidays. I cancelled the order to get my money back. I will NEVER do business with this so called company again! Truly pathetic!

Poor support and delivery service

Products on Best Buy are usually priced well and as described. If the review is based on their products alone I would give them 5 stars, but their use of third party delivery service like roadie and customer services drag it down to 1 stars.First issues is with their delivery service Roadie. I have ordered many times from Best Buy and most deliveries of other orders from Best Buy with other carriers have been on time with accurate tracking. However, my most two recent orders from Best Buy are for Lenovo laptop I was buying as a gift were not of pleasant experience, also I am currently using a MacBook Air which ironically I also bought from Best Buy a few months ago but that one was delivered without issue.I placed an order on December 23, 2025 for the Lenovo, It was supposed to be delivered that day. The pick up and delivery was cancelled by roadie with no new delivery update. So i requested to cancel this order.I placed the second order for a replacement Lenovo on December 24, 2025, this time roadie driver picked up the item on December 26, 2025 but they did not deliver same day against roadie estimated delivery date of that day, I thought roadie driver is supposed to deliver item on the day and not hold it overnight, so as of now December 27, 2025, I am still waiting for the Lenovo laptop to be delivered not knowing when it would be.I contacted Best Buy for support on these two orders, A few of the customer service agent were rude, one even distorted facts, he asked me for my order number, then when the order numbered clearly stated the order date, he made up a different date and then made up a lot of nonsense then hung up. Then I have to call again and got someone who can not even speak English properly who also hung up on me, then I got someone else who put me up on hold. Finally the forth customer service agent from Best Buy customer service helped me out and we came to a resolution that let’s just wait until roadie new estimate delivery date of January 2, 2026 (which also makes no sense given Roadie initial delivery date is the date they picked it up from best and supposed to deliver it that day on December 26, 2025, not a week later, roadie is a delivery service, they have no claim of ownership of the item and should not be holding an item of customer and deliver the item a week later and delay delivery of an item to customer who pays for it for no legitimate reason when the item is located 30 minutes drive away, and it is not their right either, they are paid to provide correct tracking and deliver an item on time which they fail on both accounts).And one out of four Best Buy customer service agent who do proper job while the other agents wasted an hour of a paying customer over nonsense is not a service I deemed acceptable. And best buy saying I no longer have option to pick up the item myself because roadie driver already pick it up and have it in their possession and I have to wait is also a poor policy making choice, same as their decision to use a delivery service know to have problems such as roadie and lose customer in the process. So an extra hour of my time is wasted to resolve an issue caused by Best Buy third party delivery service roadie which Best Buy choose to use, and best buy customer service made customer feel unwanted and unwelcome, then an extra week of wait for an item that should have been delivered already. If Best Buy competitor offer same price for same products I would likely buy from their competitor instead to avoid unreliable delivery service like roadie and deal with customer service agent that may have been outsourced to other countries whom may not speak English well and don’t seem to care if Best Buy lose their long time customer or not. And I don’t want to have to call Best Buy customer service multiples time in hope to connect to a service agent who can speak English well and provide good service instead of those who can not communicate properly in English either. I think Best Buy making poor decision and choices in their delivery and their support choosing the wrong side protecting the poor delivery service instead of serving their customer is how Best Buy is losing customer and may put themselves out of business of they don’t rectify these issues. They are losing me as a customer at the very least.

Big Disappointment

I made a straightforward purchase with a delivery. When the driver was on the property, they turned around and did not attempt the delivery at all. No communication whatsoever. What made it worse was that it was a CHRISTMAS present for my son, and he didn't get it.

Today I bought a large screen tv for my son for Christmas. The service at the store was great but when we got the tv home it had a cracked screen. So I contacted customer service at Best Buy. They informed me that I could possibly have the TV picked up and replaced however, I also could bring the TV back and get a new one. But I wanted to get the TV replaced immediately. So I contact the Customer Service again and ask them if I could take the TV back and get a new one they said I could and wrote me a ticket number to reference when I went to the store, I even told him the store I was going to. When I got to the store, they treated me like I was trying to steal. I gave them the reference number and they told me they couldn’t take back a broken TV that they would take a loss on it even though they had a TV they could give me and the Customer Service told me to go there and get it replaced. I even asked them am I gonna have a problem at the store and they said no you shouldn’t be a problem. Here is your number your order number just references everything will be OK. Bottom line was the store told us to go home with the TV. There was nothing they could do. I had bought the TV two hours before. I am now set up for someone to come and replace the TV in four days and wasted a good part of my day going to and from Best Buy. I cannot express how disappointed this was and frustrating. The interesting thing is you cannot contact the stores directly. You can only get the national customer service line. This was at the Van Nuys store in Los Angeles. I will add the manager I dealt with was literally rude and unhelpful. Almost to the point of accusing me of trying to get over or something at this point I don’t think I’ll ever buy anything at Best Buy again unfortunately

It was very deceiving online they said they had music CDs when you get there they don't have them you have to buy them online

We drove a long ways just to find out they don't have what we're looking for I was told over the phone that they had CDs so when you get to Best Buy they don't sell them there those poor people don't even know what you're talking about when it comes to music CDs

Horrible Customer Service

One of the worst customer service experience I have ever had, especially considering the money I put out. Delivery crew did not speak English, did not set up my TV and I had to threaten them to take the box the TV came in. The crew was rude and uncaring. This is my last purchase with Best Buy.

New GM making a difference

Since the forums are gone, I am leaving a review here. The store in Longview, TX - Store 594 opened in the early 2000s. Initially, they were very customer focused and had the old store format. Over the years, they drifted away from that and became very profit focused. They rarely solved issues, management had awful attitudes that trickled down to the entirety of the store, and if anyone had a serious issue and asked to speak to corporate, the GM would tell them to call 800 Best Buy, which never did anything. For a long time, you could only reach corporate via the forums, which are now gone. I stopped shopping there. They were awful. In a pinch, last year I bought a TV for my parents for Christmas. Not even 24 hours past the last day of the manufacturers warranty, the TV failed. The new GM (since February) found my receipt and told me to call Geek Squad thinking that maybe they would still honor the manufacturers warranty since they are able to work on that particular manufacturer. As usual, the Best Buy representative was rude, cold, and uninterested. She told me I couldn't talk to a supervisor and that there was no solution for what I was seeking. Jason, the GM who was standing next to me through the whole call, told me to drop the call when I could and follow him. He decided that being legalistic about the timeframe given that it wasn't even a full day past warranty wasn't worth sending a customer elsewhere. He was able to replace the unit and provide me with a very similar and comparable unit and with a small upcharge, a 5 year Geek Squad Protection plan, which I gladly paid. I realize that some customers are difficult and there are no solutions, and that we customers can't always get what we want - that sometimes we are unreasonable. But Jason recognized the situation as an opportunity to show some good faith towards customer relations and you know what - it worked. It was a huge step forward in me having the confidence to shop there more regularly. Well done. Will be back!

Buy Buy lost my 500 dollar speaker and they don't care

I ordered a JBL party speaker on 12/14/2025 It was supposed to arrive on the 16th. On the 16th it showed it would be arriving at 2pm, but the tracking showed it 800 miles away from my location. Arriving today??? I called the 1-888 number and after 5min of the automated system telling me everything is fine, I finely got to talk to a human. I was told don't worry I would get it. I told them it was 800 miles away and there is a problem. Best buy said there is nothing they can do because it's in transit. I told them to call Fedex they said they can't do that and that I would have to call them myself. I told them I tried that already and when I enter the tracking number the system tells me I'm not authorized due to the fact I didn't set up the shipping best buy did. Needless to say, I didn't get my speaker. I called back the next day the 17th and 18th, 19th and the 20th. And every time it's 5min worth of automation I spoke with a human. Again, I was told same thing every time. It's in transit and there is nothing they can do. The item is now 2,000 miles away it was a Christmas present. It's now the 22nd and no change. I get anyone to help me. The ironic thing is the closet Best Buy is only 150 miles away from me and now it's 2,000 miles away today the 22nd.
