Blazepizza Reviews
Blaze Pizza shoppers are sharply divided in their views. Enthusiasts praise the quality and taste of pizzas themselves, highlighting the crispy crust, generous cheese, distinctive flavors like spicy pepperoni and hot honey, and the value of the rewards program. These satisfied customers report positive interactions with staff at certain locations.
However, operational failures dominate negative feedback. Recurring complaints include poor customer service (slow, inattentive staff), order fulfillment errors (pizzas not made, incomplete orders), billing mistakes (double charges), unresponsive employees (curbside pickup calls going unanswered, difficulty reaching managers), and insufficient staffing despite long wait times. Multiple reviewers encountered situations where staff seemed unable or unwilling to resolve problems efficiently.
Visited the Paso Robles location with a friend and we each got our own pizza. When I checked my receipt at home, I realized I'd been charged twice. I called the store but couldn't reach anyone. The next day I went back in and the cashier documented everything with my receipt and my friend's receipt. I asked for the manager to review and get me a refund, but after four days still nothing appeared in my account. This has been really frustrating - I've had to waste more time going back to the store. I can't recommend this location based on this experience.
Ordered three pizzas yesterday and had a rough experience. The customer service was really slow and they had four people working but seemed understaffed. Only two pizzas came out and mine was never made. When I asked about it they offered to remake it but wanted me to wait another hour. I just asked for my money back. The staff just wasn't paying attention and nobody seemed to take responsibility for what happened. The service was poor overall.
I don't understand all the negative feedback - I've earned about 3 or 4 free 11 inch pizzas through their rewards program and I get all kinds of pizzas here. The spicy pepperoni actually has a nice kick compared to other major chains, and the hot honey drizzle is a fun way to mix things up. The crust doesn't get droopy, the oil doesn't soak through to the bottom, and the ingredients taste real - they don't skimp like some other places do. I've ordered through DoorDash and if you like it the first few times, definitely make an account to rack up points for discounts or free 11 inch pizzas. Worth checking out if you want quality pizza.
I was interested in trying Blaze Pizza but after reading how the operator talks about certain jobs, I can't support this business. In a public comment he said that admin work is simple and doesn't require brainpower, claiming anyone can handle HR, invoices, and contracts. That's both ignorant and disrespectful to professionals in those fields. HR, billing, and contract management actually require legal expertise, financial knowledge, and strategic thinking. Dismissing these roles as basic shows how little he understands about running a business. If this is how leadership views office and administrative workers, it makes me question how they treat their staff overall. The values of a company come from the top, and based on this I'd rather spend my money somewhere that respects all kinds of work.
This pizza was perfectly crispy and loaded with cheese. The Stuart location does a great job with both the quality of the food and how they treat customers.
I placed a curbside pickup order at the Knoxville location on Parkside Drive. When I got there, I called the curbside pickup number but nobody picked up. I tried calling ten different times with no answer. Because of a physical limitation I couldn't go inside the store. Over 40 minutes past when my order should have been ready, I finally got someone's attention going in and asked them to let the team know I was outside waiting. I'd ordered two 11 inch build your own pizzas with gluten free crust. When I finally got them after a 50 minute delay, they were cold and soggy. Since I'd already paid through the app, I would've sent them back if I hadn't. If they're offering curbside service through their app with dedicated parking, they need to actually answer their phone. The service was really terrible.
Great food and excellent customer service here. Shout out to the employee who made my pizza - they really did an awesome job and made it perfect.
The pizza was delicious and honestly some of the best I've ever had. The employee there was really helpful - he showed me what's popular and guided me through building an amazing pizza.
What a letdown. We grabbed what was basically a bread pizza with barely any sauce and a large with just 10 pieces of pepperoni. 8 slices total, supposedly their Meat Lovers - honestly a frozen Red Baron from the grocery store is better. I've had their cauliflower before and it was decent, but this was absolutely terrible and had no flavor. No sauce at all. Seriously, you'd be much better off calling another pizza place.
We ordered but they wouldn't honor a deal they had advertised, the pizza came out burnt, and there was an actual bone in our chicken pizza that we almost choked on. The service wasn't good either. This place is not worth going to.
The pizza at Blaze is delicious with amazing options and great staff. My order didn't show up today unfortunately. They used a third party delivery service and it was a nightmare experience. I had to contact Blaze directly to get my money back and then got bounced around by the delivery company with no help. That wasn't Blaze's fault though. What really impressed me was when I got a call from the manager right after. He completely took care of my issue and made it right. I absolutely love and recommend Blaze to anyone who likes pizza. The ingredients are always real and fresh, and honestly their customer service today really went above and beyond - I didn't expect a manager to actually call me back. I'd love it if they stopped using that delivery service because it's terrible. Other than that, Blaze is the best pizza around College Station, Texas and I can't say enough good things about it.
Don't throw your time and money away here. This place will take advantage of you. The pictures they show online look nothing like the actual pizza you get. Getting food from them was seriously one of my worst decisions ever.
Really disappointed. Don't bother spending your money here. The quality is fast food level, honestly. Barely any sauce, hardly any cheese, and no real flavor. At the Las Vegas West Sahara spot we got an 11 inch with basil as a topping - I'm not exaggerating, there was maybe one tiny piece of basil on most of the slices. That's ridiculous. The Caesar salad was mostly brown lettuce and looked like it'd been sitting around for days. There are way better pizza places out there to spend money on.
I'm in San Diego and go to the Balboa Ave. location fairly often. The pizza actually tastes better than similar places, but there's a real issue here. They have a nice outdoor patio area and with our weather it should be great, but the chairs are gross and the tables are beat up and wobbly. They used to have propane heaters that broke and they've never been replaced. Management has ignored our requests for new furniture for two years now. Because of how bad the patio looks, almost nobody uses it.
Blaze Pizza is hands down my favorite pizza chain. The food quality is top notch and they make it consistently every time. The prices are also fair. You can get an 11 inch cheese pizza for $5.25 which is solid value. Some people dislike the chain because of celebrity involvement but that's not really relevant - they were making great pizza long before that happened and they still do. If there's a location near you, definitely go try it. The ingredients are excellent, the staff is helpful, and you can't beat the pricing and consistency. I'm a big fan.
