Bodi offers fitness content including workout programs and nutrition guides, and shoppers who actively use the platform report solid workout quality and straightforward account management. However, the store is rated 1.4 out of 5 by 18 shoppers, and the overwhelming majority of reviews cite serious problems. The most common complaint involves automatic subscription renewal: customers report being charged for the following year without clear notification, with some claiming reminder emails end up in spam or are easy to miss when renewal is a year away. Disputes over refund eligibility and billing disputes appear difficult to resolve.

Additional frustrations center on customer service accessibility. Shoppers report that Bodi offers only text-based support available Monday through Friday, 4am to 7pm Pacific time, with no phone line to reach a human representative. The chat function is described as bot-based only. A small number of long-time users praise the workout content itself, but they represent a minority. Some reviewers also note that cycling content has diminished significantly after recent business model changes.

I've been using Bodi since way back when they first came out with VHS tapes. I was actually a coach for them from 2015 until they switched their business model to an Affiliate program. Even now I use some of their stuff because the workouts are solid. Managing my account has always been straightforward - canceling or pausing subscriptions is simple to do online. Their chat support has generally been better than their traditional customer service, but honestly that's true for most companies these days since a lot of customer service got moved overseas. If home workouts are your thing and you want variety, Bodi's got excellent program options. I'm also a big fan of being able to download workouts to watch on my iPad when I travel, and it's really useful since I spend a lot of time traveling in my RV and can't always count on internet access.

I would give zero stars if the system allowed it. When you pay upfront for a full year of annual subscription, Bodi automatically signs you up to renew the following year. Since that's a whole year away, it's pretty easy to lose track of. Then when the reminder email shows up, it could end up in spam, and next thing you know you've been charged again - usually at a higher price. That's exactly what happened to me. I saw the pending charge and canceled that very same day, but they still refused to issue a refund. According to their policy, once the renewal charge goes through, there's no refund under any circumstance - period - even if you cancel immediately. When you call a rep, they just repeat their policy and tell you to fill out an online form. A day or two later you get an automated email basically saying no refund and you're stuck with the service for the next year that you haven't even started using. Technically they might be compliant with something, but it's not right.

Getting help from their customer service is basically impossible. There's no actual phone number to reach a real person - you can only use text, and they're only available Monday through Friday from 4am to 7pm Pacific time. The times I'm free don't line up with their hours at all, plus I can't safely text while driving. Their chat is just a bot, so if you need help with anything it can't handle, you're out of luck. This company used to be fantastic, but their customer service has completely fallen apart. I'm only giving two stars because I do actually like some of what they offer as products.

Laura H.Feb 17, 2026

This company is sketchy, plain and simple. They auto-renew without telling you, but then claim they sent you an email notification. Even when I caught it and canceled the second I saw a pending charge, they're saying I waited until five days after the billing date. This was an old subscription I'd paid for upfront two years ago that I wasn't using anymore, so naturally I forgot about it. Check the Better Business Bureau - there are hundreds of complaints about the exact same thing. They all say the same thing about their policy and claim you have no options, and every exception decision is supposedly final. On top of that, their customer service is text only, which means you're probably talking to a bot anyway. Just run.

I really love using Bodi and got amazing results from it. The selection of workout programs and nutrition guides is really impressive. Yeah, they did change things about a year ago by cutting the coach network, but that didn't affect my experience at all. I've never had problems with my billing or with customer service. I've read a bunch of the negative reviews on here and honestly I'm confused by them. It seems like most of the complaints started showing up right after they eliminated the large coach team, which makes me wonder if a lot of those reviews are coming from ex-coaches who are upset about getting cut. I'm still an active member and haven't experienced any issues with billing or service at all. I like having so many different workout styles to pick from and I'm happy with their products. I gave four stars instead of five just because they discontinued some programs I was enjoying, but overall it's a great company.

If you're looking for spinning classes, definitely look elsewhere. The bike content on this platform has really gone downhill. They used to have tons of scenic ride options, but now there are barely any left.

Christopher B.Nov 20, 2025

I'm giving one star only because I can't go lower than that. My wife set up an account, barely used it, and then just forgot about it. The automatic charges kept hitting our credit card for renewals - with no heads up at all - and by the time I caught it and called the next day, they refused to reverse the most recent charge. They were fine canceling future ones, but not the one they'd literally just billed us for. If this isn't illegal, it should be. No business should be allowed to automatically charge you without warning and then refuse to undo it when you call right away. This company is all about forcing people to pay for stuff they don't want rather than earning their loyalty. Stay far away unless you enjoy paying them indefinitely.

My sister got offered a renewal deal for $99 but when I called about it, they didn't offer me the same thing. After I complained, they signed me up for a different package with random freebies and discounted items I never asked for, charging me $123. I went along with it since it was cheaper. What I didn't know was they also enrolled me in a Shakeology drink subscription that auto-renews for $66 monthly - and they just charged me without my permission. They completely refused to give the money back. They weren't even sorry about it and didn't apologize despite me providing evidence of the conversation. These people are straight-up grifters and you need to be very careful dealing with them.

People should stay completely away from this company and support your neighborhood gym instead. This is how it went down for me: I signed up for a year-long subscription in 2024 and like most fitness apps, I ended up not using it much. In August 2025, the subscription auto-renewed without any heads up. Zero email notification, just a charge to my card. The second I saw that pending charge, I went into the app and canceled immediately. That apparently wasn't enough for them - they're refusing to credit back the $179 for the next year of service I don't want. They've locked me into this charge, but I'm prepared to make noise about this everywhere possible until the lost business costs them way more than my $179. Don't underestimate an unhappy customer. I'm filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau, USA.gov, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and the Federal Trade Commission. Enjoy my money.

David R.Jun 23, 2025

Don't go near this place. It's a straight-up scam designed to get people signed up and then drain their wallets. Canceling is basically impossible, and they make most of their money from people who get tricked into registering only to be charged without warning. I tried to cancel and got the same runaround as everyone else here - they only tell you about the charges after they've already hit your account. Save yourself the headache and find something else.

Tammy V.May 16, 2025

Watch out before you buy! They hook you with a cheap introductory price and then auto-renew you at double the cost and flat out refuse to give your money back when you cancel. These people are basically stealing from you, and there's plenty of similar quality fitness content on YouTube for free. I wish I could leave fewer stars.

Michelle T.Apr 25, 2025

This used to be a solid company - I was really into their programs back when they were Beachbody and bought Shakeology all the time. Then they switched to streaming and here's where the problem started: it auto-renewed with zero notification. I caught it before the charge even went through and called to stop it, but they flat out refused to refund me like basically every other company would. When I pushed back, they just sent me a link to file some exception request that didn't even work. This is pure theft - they're stealing from people through auto-renewal and making it impossible to actually talk to someone about it. It's a real shame because I liked some of their stuff, but I'm done. They've deliberately made it hard to cancel subscriptions and they've turned into a company that only wins by ripping people off. This isn't a legitimate business anymore, it's a scam operation. The trainers should be embarrassed for being part of this.

Karen S.Apr 7, 2025

Signed up years ago when the company was still called Beachbody and haven't been able to successfully cancel since I stopped using it. This company is like a parasite - completely impossible to get rid of.

Nicole P.Nov 1, 2024

I purchased a Bodi bike along with a membership. Two weeks in, they just canceled my order with absolutely zero explanation. I called to find out what happened and they told me they don't deliver to my area. That's ridiculous business practice. Peloton has no problem delivering here. This is unacceptable, Bodi.

Jennifer M.Oct 17, 2024

This company's automatic renewal system is absolutely unacceptable. They don't give you any real warning before charging your bank account for another year, which is terrible practice. When I called to cancel on the same day my account was charged, I was told I'd missed the 30-day window for refunds and would need to submit a form to even be considered for one. The rep actually asked if I'd checked my spam folder for their renewal notification - I shouldn't have to dig through junk mail to find important billing alerts. Here's where it gets really sketchy: the cancellation confirmation came to my regular inbox, but the refund request form went straight to spam. That's not a coincidence, that's intentional. If cancellation notices can reach my main inbox, then refund information should too. This is shady business at its finest and I need my money back right now.
