Really bad first try with cameo

Really bad first try with cameo. My request timed out? So got a refund. It didnt allow me to leave a review on the site. Or I would have said although actively advertising cameos mine wasn't completed etc. As soon as I had a refund I started getting emails from cameo saying the same stars cameos were open and why not book one? They may have processing fee i dunno but got refunded less than I paid for it too.

Zero Accountability for Non-delivery from Celebs

Booked a video, at the reduced 'black Friday sale' price. The video then wasn't completed on time and was then asked to re-purchase at the increased price. The celebrity asked has been doing other videos in the interim. Just not mine..... Cool idea, zero accountability for a celebrity who doesn't actually deliver....

Rubbish

Rubbish. Booked 3 seperate times for my friend's birthday, with 2 different celebs, both of whom never completed the cameos. Why be listed on the website if you're not going to bother completing the orders? I was really looking forward to surprising my friend, felt totally let down.

Unexpected fees & not completed orders

I am seeing a lot of same experiences with cameo. I made a purchase and then had a ton of unexpected fees and my purchase order did not even get fulfilled. Stay away.

Worked out well in the end after a disappointing start

Getting Cameos can take a long time. If you’re a Wrestling fan i recommend you get Bret The Hitman Hart.He went above & beyond with such a beautiful message.I tried booking Ric Flair who was very expensive and he just couldn’t be bothered.Plus it took ages to get a refund and that part was very stressful.If your going to get a Cameo for someone, make sure the celebrity in question is likely to do it and is a moral person and isn’t a selfish person who cares more about keeping their image alive than the fans who made them who they are.Just be careful

I tried 4 separate times to book a cameo with an artist and each time it said it could not be completed. Cameo would email me saying the talent requested to complete my expired request and then still I did not receive the Cameo.

Canceling gifts last minute…

You line up the Creator for a birthday present and it's just cancelled without explanation. It's happened both times I've used it. You get a message that says the creator has 7 days to make the video, then unexplainably you get a message 5 days later saying the Creator neither accepted or declined but the order was cancelled. This is an acceptable business practice to cameo. This would be a great gift on a vacation (nothing to pack) but here i am scrambling to find something else for my wife. Terrible

UK users beware of American date format!

Celebrity video message was fine but date for ‘birthday’ is in American style format so celeb stated birthday as 11th February instead of 2nd November! UK users need to be made aware as all other dates, like payment dates and time to respond during order process are in usual Uk format. Disappointing when I paid £75.

Paid to have James Marsters do a video…

Paid to have James Marsters do a video and it was great. It got delivered in a few days and was more than I had expected him to do. The down side after I got the video it asked for a tip which I was happy to do except Cameo charges an additional 10% service fee on top of the tip. Even worse Cameo takes a portion of the tip. They want to charge me for the ability to give them more money it is kind of a joke.

I'd give it zero stars for letting a murderer profit from her crime and being able to give life advice to people she had her mom murdered and even says people who have committed a major crime cannot use your services ? Your that hard up for a profit ! Cameo is a horrible site !

This app allowed a convicted murderer, Gypsy Rose Blanchard, to use their platform to make money. She even uses chat GPT for her video responses and when one paying customer wasn’t happy about that, Cameo took down their one star review. They care more about protecting a known murderer who takes no accountability than side with a paying customer. Trash company to say the least.

This app allowing a convicted murderer to make money is DISGUSTING!! Gypsy Blanchard has NO business even out of prison let alone making money off her crime. The only reason anyone knows of her is for what she did. She killed her mother for some sausage. She has no remorse and no morals. And this app is supporting her being in contact with young people and literally giving them advice on how to deal with their mother?!! Are y'all insane?!

It's the only reason anyone knows who she is. Also is it really ethical to have someone who butchered their mom to give advice? Bad move Cameo, as long as she's on there myself and many other will never use your platform

Cameo allows convicted murders to use their app. Gypsy Blanchard! Who used the internet to manipulate an autistic guy into murdering her own mother! Nick had the mentality of a 12 year old! Children as young as 13 can use cameo. Think about that! Cameo do better! Where are your morals? What a disgrace!

Avoid! Murderer sympathisers!

This company are allowing a convicted murderer Gypsy Rose Blanchard to use their platform to make money.The murderer has also said that she has used her platform to ADVISE a girl on how to deal with her mother not liking her boyfriend. This woman MURDERED her own mother so that she could run away to be with her boyfriend, lied about why she murdered her mother, pinned most of the blame on her ex boyfriend who has the mental age of a child and more (including offering a hypothetical daughter to her ex once she turned 13 for depraved reasons). It is dangerous for her to be using your platform to advise potentially vulnerable or young people. I am disgusted that Cameo have allowed this woman to use their platform to profit off of the disgusting things that she’s done.

Paid $400+ for a Cameo video for my granddaughters from their favorite player on the Savannah Bananas. What a mistake! Gave it 7 days to fulfill and it never happened. Of course I'm expecting a refund but disappointed.

Check when celeb was last active

I read all the negative reviews before deciding to go ahead and was very dubious, thinking the 5 star reviews were probably a scam. Decided to bite the bullet and go for it anyway. Purchased at 2pm, paid for video within a week. By 5pm I had the personalised message from Eric Winter for my daughter’s birthday. It’s amazing, she will love it! Thank you so much Eric Winter you absolute gem, and Cameo (maybe it does depend which celeb you are going for!). A full minute video!

Exceeded Expectations

Used Cameo for the first time and they exceeded my expectations. After booking my celebrity message I read the reviews here and saw they were mostly negative, was convinced I had been scammed and would never receive my message. To my absolute delight I got the most amazing message from the talent, within the 24 hours I had requested. It's for a 40th birthday gift for my friend, the celebrity sang her a personalised song, it's so fantastic. Cant wait to give it to her, it's the greatest thing ever. Perhaps results depend on the celebrity you book. Mine was from Wayne Coyne of the Flaming Lips, his message and song is pure genuine joy - heartfelt. It's going to make my friends birthday, thank you Cameo and thank you Wayne :)

I ordered 50th birthday wishes via…Cameo

I ordered 50th birthday wishes via memmo and as I have noticed that my order has not been processed I doubled the order by ordering one though Cameo. Cameo was over £40 for the same service. Jake Canuso from Benidorm was absolutely brilliant, actually birthday wishes for my hubby were so great I shed a tear. Excellent experience and value for money - video was delivered on the 5/04/25. I am happy to forward to those who might wish to see it.
