Got to four venues through the city pass system and using it was effortless. All the venues were great. If winter's your travel time though, maybe pass on the zoo. It's decent but animals stay hidden from the cold. We were based in the city so transit worked fine overall, though the zoo requires extra travel which is part of the experience.
