Reported a Broken Zipper, Still Waiting. I reported a damaged zipper and requested repair in November through the Denver office. We're now going on three months and I still haven't gotten instructions on when to send it in. They keep telling me to wait. My bag is sitting unused. I'm considering taking it elsewhere for repairs. Terrible After-Sales Support on This Backpack. I invested in an Eagle Creek Tour Travel Pack 55L, and it wasn't inexpensive. When I picked it up by the waist belt, it ripped right at the attachment point. The pack only had about 13kg inside, so there was nothing wrong with how I was using it. Three weeks for delivery at these prices is completely ridiculous. They ought to refuse UK orders and direct people to domestic stores rather than letting customers get stuck without luggage right before traveling. Extremely frustrated. Won't be ordering from them again.

Poor Quality Construction at Premium Price. I bought an Eagle Creek Expanse 105L rolling duffel at a major retailer in Ontario for around 325 Canadian dollars. This was just before the holidays. A week after Christmas my repaired bag arrived at my door. That's incredibly fast service given all the holiday closures. They also swapped out the other wheel while they had it. I'm really impressed.

New Wheeled Backpack - Expensive but Looks Solid. Just picked up a wheeled backpack for around £270 and it's definitely pricey, but it feels well constructed and solid. I'm planning to take it on a year-long trip around the world so we'll see how well it holds up to what the company claims. One complaint is that not all backpacks in their lineup come with waterproof treatment, which would be a nice addition.

Lifetime Warranty Doesn't Apply If You're Outside Service Center Locations. About seven years ago I purchased their luggage with the No Matter What Lifetime warranty through an Israeli retailer. However, the dealer only offered limited coverage, so for major problems I had to ship it to a service center in Germany. That shipping alone cost me 50 euros. When it arrived, the service center refused it because German customs imposed additional fees, and they asked me to cover those costs. Obviously I declined, and my luggage got sent back to me. The support experience was a complete disaster. I paid four times more for this brand specifically because of the warranty promise, and it meant nothing.
