Possibly the worst customer service I've dealt with. I signed up for fiber but got sent a 5G wireless router instead. When I wanted to cancel, they said they couldn't let me and then just hung up. Called back asking for a manager and was told someone would call me within 72 hours. That never happened. When I finally reached a supervisor, he said there was nothing he could do except cancel it. Absolutely would not recommend. Update: The escalation team never called me back. First they said 24 to 72 hours, but I had to call back a week later. Looks like the company just leaves issues hanging. They sold me something I never wanted. I specifically asked for fiber service and was told no problem, then a 5G wireless box shows up at my door. Even with their outage excuse, I didn't want a wireless service and they kept trying to convince me to keep it anyway.
New to the area and didn't know much about internet providers here, so I went with EarthLink. That turned out to be a mistake. Right from the start, things have been really disappointing. Every time I call about an issue, I get a different answer. Things they promise don't happen. The technical support just isn't helpful, and the customer service people seem like they honestly don't care whether I stay or go. I pay my bill on time every single month and it doesn't seem to matter to them one bit. After looking into it more, I also found out they charge way more than competitors offer. I wish I'd done my homework first, but hopefully this helps someone else dodge the same frustration. I'm leaving, eating the early termination fee, and moving to another provider because my sanity is worth more than dealing with this any longer. Find someone else. Seriously.
