  2. Once you’re ready, click the cart icon to view your selected items. If everything looks good, choose “Go to checkout”.
  3. On the checkout page, scroll down to find the section “Gift cards, coupons, eBay Bucks.” In the box that says “Enter code:”, type in your eBay coupons.

eBay Return Policy and Customer Support

eBay offers a return policy that covers both new and used items.

If a product arrives in worse condition than described, or if it’s damaged, lost, or misrepresented, eBay typically issues a full refund. The platform is also supportive in cases where sellers are unresponsive or fail to provide accurate information.

If you encounter any issues with your order, such as unexpected fees, trouble tracking a package, or questions about returns, eBay’s customer service team is ready to help.

Agents are available from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays and from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends.

Loyal customer lost over ridiculous age verification…

I’ve been an eBay customer for around 15 years, but this experience has finally pushed me away.I recently tried to buy a 21” saw blade — a basic hand tool — and was blocked by an age verification process that requires a credit card. I don’t own a credit card by choice and use debit cards exclusively. I’m also 54 years old. What makes this worse is that I bought saw blades from eBay last month with no such issue. The policy seems inconsistently applied and completely inflexible. Customer service confirmed that there is no alternative verification method, which effectively excludes many legitimate adult customers.Rather than jump through unreasonable hoops, I simply bought the same item on Amazon, with no problems at all. It’s disappointing to see a platform I’ve used for over a decade become so obstructive and out of touch. If this is how routine purchases are handled now, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere permanently.

EBAY removed a listing, no warning, refuse to refund my purchase

Order 26-13642-66766 with Seller Shop-Laza. I contacted EBAY to assist me with a refund of obviously fake products. EBAY refused to refund over $144 regardless of having removed the Seller with no notice to the Buyers! Of course EBAY can see who the Buyers are when they are removing listings, it is just a big database and they have all the datd. EBAY left us hanging out to dry and still refuse to refund the money on principle.

eBay has lost it's way

eBay has lost it's way. I have been going back and forth for months with a scammer eBay seller (China based shop) who sold me fake precious metals AND fake USPS return labels... All proven and documented.eBay has done nothing!!! I submitted countless cases and nothing. I've been forced to use PayPal dispute services and there seems to be progress (more than with eBay). There's no customer service (humans) any longer... You're on your own if you get robbed on eBay. I'll avoid this platform if I can moving forward.

Never using eBay again!

Never using eBay again!! My order was delivered to a different address than mine. The shipper put the wrong label on my package. eBay claims it's not their fault and will not refund my money.

Trust Crooks, Distrust Saints

Who does Ebay trust?Shiny, new, 116 year old 1909 S VDB pennies are being sold by various people in China, and, instead of asking $2,000 (what they are worth), they are only asking for $20. How can old pennies look like new, unless, of course, they were newly made. Counterfeiting is a Federal felony in the US, and owning them or selling them is also a felony. Ditto, other rare coins. Some Ebay coins are spray painted brown (slightly the wrong color), though the expensive and natural patina has been removed undoubtedly to remove blemishes. This is fraud, and it is against the law and against Ebay rules. Some Ebay coins are touted as rare, but they are not. Example. . . a rare 1982D. I think that it is worth mere cents, not the $1,000 that they are asking for it.Fraudulent ads abound on Ebay. I am not the only one saying so. Look at the other reviews, and you will see that many object to them.Who, then, does Ebay distrust? Ebay has a policy that coin selling should be more restricted (but they obviously don't restrict the crooks, they just restrict the honest people). So, Ebay will let someone sell a few coins, but then block them from selling coins for 90 days. Why block people for 90 days? Well, the Ebay security team has to prove that it does something. It certainly doesn't stop crooks. So, it has to interfere with buyers and sellers to let people know that they are doing something, though it is stupid and useless. It is commerce at the speed of a snail. Time is money.Ebay allows you to send items without tracking. But, they will not pay you until they wait a month (for security purposes). What security purpose does that serve? They have nonsensical rules that do nothing to make transactions more secure. You might track a package, to make sure that the package got to its destination, but what assures that your item is in the package? Tracking really serves no purpose, and is only an extra expense, and the nonsensical Ebay security rules don't help.Ebay does offer discount mailing. For example, the US Postal Service might require a 78 cent forever stamp on a one ounce envelope (an empty envelope weighs 1/3 ounce). But Ebay offers to send it through the US Postal Service for only 74 cents, allow up to 3 ounces (triple normal weight), and provide free tracking. So, there is no reason to not use tracking, unless you have an alternate commercial postal rate company (like stamps.com that offer discount postage for a monthly fee of $21/month). Since it makes sense to use Ebay discount postage rates, you might as well pay Ebay and use their tracking. The United States Secret Service is in charge of safeguarding US and visiting foreign VIPs, such as the president and his family. But, it is also in charge of money crimes, such as counterfeiting. I am surprised that they allow counterfeit currency on Ebay. The FBI also warned that the country of China, itself, has a new policy to bust other economies (including the US economy). The FBI also issued warnings about counterfeit antique currency.Summary: Ebay has dumb rules that interfere with commerce, but do nothing for security. Their security team just wants to do something to keep their jobs, but they don't care about eliminating crooks.

I would give them no stars if I could

I would give them no stars if I could. I ordered a book through them on the 2nd Nov 2025. I had an email from them say Ing it would be delivered between 1st Dec./15th Dec. It never arrived. I reported this, now they are saying it was tracked and delivered on the 4th of Nov two days after the order, from ABROAD! So why the email saying it would be delivered in December? Now they are saying I have received it and the case is closed. Disgusting they cannot even be bothered to check, don’t use them their guarantee is useless.

eBay customer service is the WORST…

eBay customer service is the WORST ever. I cannot speak to an agent. I paid for a label on a box that weighed less than two pounds, and then received a shipping adjustment because they said it weighed 25 pounds! I have tried talking to them and they are no help. FedEx says I have to go through eBay. I use to sell on eBay, but I am sick of their expensive fees and absolutely nonexistent help.

eBay had me feelin played

Thought I was snaggin a deal, but the item showed up lookin nothin like the pics — whole thing felt off. Shipping dragged forever, tracking was all over the place, and support just sent those copy-paste “sorry” replies. Bad vibes all around.
