What Is the FlixBus Cancellation Policy?

FlixBus has a flexible cancellation policy that allows you to cancel your ticket up to 15 minutes before your trip. You will receive a refund in the form of a voucher, and the amount depends on when you cancel.

If you cancel 30 days or more before your departure, you'll get a 100% refund.

If you cancel 7 to 29 days ahead of time, you'll receive a 70% refund.

For cancellations made 2 to 6 days beforehand, you will get 40% back, and for cancellations less than 2 days before your trip, you'll get a 20% refund.

It's good to know that extras like seat reservations and extra baggage are 100% refundable, but any booking or service fees you paid are not. For trips in Türkiye, you will receive a 100% refund.

Will not recommend and will never try…

Will not recommend and will never try it again. Was to travel from Belgium to Berlin, the bus was cancelled but I could still see it active. I had to pay another complete fee and when I cancelled, I was deducted 33€ as fee and money is not refunded immediately.My return trip from Berlin back to Belgium, the Bus coordinator was a complete racist person. Obliged me to bring a specific seat for my baby even though I had traveled the same way. I was never refunded and the bus left without me. I had to pay another complete train to travel. Am sorry but that’s really annoying and not worth it.Service is zero on ten. I can say for sure you are all thieves. The bus is great, it has multiple drivers, the best driver is a young driver, older drivers can be more sensitive and can raise their voices loudly and swear in their own language.

The worst service I’ve ever seen

The worst service I’ve ever seen. I was supposed to travel from Moldova to Ukraine during the escalation of hostilities in Ukraine, exactly where the travel route was. Customer support is terrible! I was not given any information about changing the route, and in general, no adequate answer, only a link to general information on the website, through the most poor-quality translation from Indian (judging by the names of all the agents I communicated with) into Ukrainian. Cancellation of the trip by the client is compensated with a voucher, which cannot be converted into money, but can only be used to buy a ticket from their terrible company. Of course, no warning about this is visible on the website.

oh please let this bus arrive this time

Picture this: Christmas Eve 9:45 pm, on the platform, waiting. No bus arrives, there's nothing in the journey planner, no info on the app. I have to walk back to my previouss accomodation, after 10pm, ring the buzzer, and thankfully get let in.I sit down and finally in the app it says that the trip has been cancelled - AFTER the expected departure time - so no notice, nothing. i get a refund or reschedule offer, so i have rescheduled today. Such an interesting Christmas, Flixbus. And, i will will quote you almost their expected response to this " sorry about your expeience, we listen to feedback and hope to improve your journey next time". If there IS a journey!

How is possible for a cancelled trip paid 50 Euro I got only 10 Euro voucher. I understand I won't get all 100 percent but this is to much. Not planning to use their services again. Update: their generated answer just proves my point. Never again

FlixBus — never again

I purchased a ticket for 25 December 2025, but the company cancelled the trip two days in advance, without providing any reason and without offering any alternative connection. It felt as if the bus was simply not sufficiently booked and they decided to cancel it at the last minute, leaving me to deal with the consequences.I also called customer service, but the agent could not explain why the service had been cancelled. The route in question was from Košice to Bardejov, continuing onwards to Poland.When I emailed the company, they replied that they would refund the ticket. I pointed out that I had incurred additional costs (for example, a pre-booked taxi that I had to cancel), but they responded curtly that they only reimburse train travel (second class) or, alternatively, a bus.In my view, this is unacceptable and unprofessional conduct. I am considering filing a complaint with the national supervisory authority.I do not recommend this company under any circumstances—its practices are neither transparent nor fair

Be careful: even if you cancel shortly after purchase and before departure, FlixBus may refuse a cash refund and force a voucher instead. Read the refund policy very carefully before buying.

I cancelled my FlixBus ticket approximately 10 minutes after purchase, well before departure. The trip never took place and no transport service was provided.Instead of a monetary refund, FlixBus unilaterally issued a voucher, despite my explicit refusal and request for a cash refund to the original payment method.Customer support stated that a “concession” does not allow conversion of the voucher into cash, relying solely on their internal Terms & Conditions. However, no real service was provided, and replacing a refund with a voucher without customer consent is unfair and misleading.The company refuses to process a monetary refund even though the ticket was unused and cancelled immediately. I find this practice unacceptable and not customer-oriented.

FlixBus Left Us Stranded on a Motorway – Absolutely Unacceptable!

FlixBus is dangerous and incompetent. On June 23rd, my bus from Paris to Brussels turned into a nightmare: • The driver abandoned the bus, leaving us stranded on the motorway in the middle of the night. • No communication, no safety measures, just passengers exposed to speeding trucks and cars. • Police had to intervene, and we waited hours for a replacement driver. • FlixBus refused to take responsibility, ignored my complaints, and only refunded my ticket (€26.97) after weeks of chasing them.This company is a risk to passengers’ lives. Avoid at all costs!

We arrived 1:20 am early instead of…

We arrived 1:20 am early instead of 2:00 am and our booking for Prague is 5:25 but we did not see the bus N903 on time , and after we see the location the bus is already far from station , we ask for the other drivers but they not respond , we expect they will contact the other drivers but they didn’t. Even the monitor don’t have delays or change schedules .. WHY?!! Why the service not that good.. we are still hear in bus station! And the bus to novy is 15:00 myg! Flixbus! Bad experience! 👎🏻
