Frontier Airlines’ Change and Cancellation Policy

  • After the 24-hour grace period, a cancellation fee of up to $99 per passenger per direction applies. The remaining value is issued as a travel credit, not a refund.

Amazing price, service and safety

Price will always be the biggest issue, but absolutely no issue with my ticket price. I had a personal trip planned in March of this year. Departed from ATL and flew to Austin TX. no stops. I was very impressed and pleased to know that the fleet had been upgraded by the new Airbus 380, very powerful engines and comfort of flight was nearly guaranteed. This flight did include one free carry on bag. When boarding the plane, I noticed that the storage area under the seat in front of me was so much larger than I had anticipated. Wishing I had packed more in the carry on. My seat was 10-C, C being the seat closest to the isle. I am 6’3 280 guy, built like a tank, so I was very thankful that I was assigned the C position. •just for the knowledge of others with my same build, to keep ticket prices low, the distance between you and the seat in front of you is DRASTICALLY closer than other airlines.• The other airlines may provide a bit more wiggle room, but the price if there ticket, departing and embarking was by far were prices WAY above my flight with Frontier. When doing some calculations, the adventure, the things to see, places I would like to stop and check out on the 15hour drive, then I started my cons portion of this trip. Gas, food, the loss of a day, there and back, the risk of car issues and weather conditions all were considered. By estimation, the amount of money needed to make this round trip was around $650-$725. When I began to check flights in the dates of the plans made, I quickly came across a round trip, ATL to AUI AUSTIN TX I was in sheer disbelief. Round trip, no stops direct flight was priced at @$103.00. The flight was only 2 hours 12 minutes. So not only did I save money, wear and tear on my vehicle, the hazards of a lengthy drive as such, it was a no brainer. The staff, even to be a very short flight acted with professionalism and grace. An incident did occur. I watch the whole thing unfold. A passenger, when the seatbelt sign was turned off, he attempted to retrieve something from his bag in the overhead compartment. As the door to the baggage locker opened, a cane, hollow aluminum with a four point ground contact slid from the stored position. The cane made the most minute contact with the gentleman’s head… he acted as if he had been punched and stabbed at the same time, he was definitely looking for an Oscar nomination. He was very boisterous, contrite, unconcealable and absolutely rude to flight staff that were simply trying to attend to his needs. He began an attempt to collect names and numbers of the passengers who were sat in the rows ahead of him, with no ability to have even witnessed the incident. As for the passengers who were behind, with full view, he literally shunned us. He began talking photos of the staff with every movement they made, and was beginning to become agitated and unruly. To the thanks of every passenger aboard, at the moment we landed, a fire/EMS squad was ready and waiting to remove him from the aircraft and usher him to a hospital. The patience, professionalism, determination and courage to take the high road, turn the other cheek and that definitely commendable. As for me, I just wanted to tie him into a complete I was trained rope knot and place him in the baggage hold. However I did catch all this on my phone, videos and photos, which I then uploaded the cut finally copy to my TikTok account. That definitely help me feel validated.Great airline!!

I have flown this airline too many…

I have flown this airline too many times to count and never, ever had a bad experience with them. How can that be? I've read and heard about bad experiences for other travelers, but not for me. Online, their website is easy to use, pay for, book. They depart on time 99% of the time. Flight attendants are nice and respectful in my experiences. Arrivals on time. Seats are too small, but I overlook that because their prices are insanely LOW compared to the others, discount or not. Anytime you can fly from FLL to PHL for $24 r/t incl taxes is LOW to me. How bad can the flight be? Planes were clean, service was fine. I have only positive to say about them. Never had a bad flight.

Thank you Frontier

It was an average flight experience overall, but I was satisfied. The seats weren’t the most comfortable and the cabin felt a bit tight, so it’s not ideal for very long trips. However, the crew really made a difference — they were friendly, cheerful, and had a positive attitude throughout the flight, which made the journey more pleasant. I felt safe the whole time, and the fact that the flight was on time for both departure and arrival was definitely a plus. If you’re not expecting luxury and just want an affordable, straightforward trip, Frontier is a good option.

I honestly started to feel sick towards…

I honestly started to feel sick towards the end of the flight, while landing. I told the flight attendant Mrs.April how I was feeling and she quickly assisted and got me some water and was willing to get me the necessary assistance. She was very accommodating and kind and I appreciate her willingness to help and positive attitude. Please hire more like her!

I had the pleasure of speaking to Mary…

I had the pleasure of speaking to Mary in baggage because I couldn’t do my flight online. I had bought a wow pass and was unable to do it online. I spoke to Mary for assistance not only did she help me do it she took time out of her day to call me back When it was time to make the reservation to make sure that I had it and was able to go and get on the plane the next day I don’t know what I would’ve done without her because my brother had just passed away and I need to get to Missouri Frontier need more customer service and they definitely need more people like Mary, who is willing to help a customer especially a customer who had a emergency that needed to leave Orlando and get to Missouri ASAP. My hats go off to Mary and again thank you Mary for all that you did for me you don’t know that you were God sent to me that night .

Flight from Phoenix to San Diego

Flight from Phoenix to San Diego - Ben, Ivan, Ariana and Nicole did phenomenal navigating multiple complex and a tish needy people flying. Ariana was training and she kept herself calm and collected, Ben is an awesome instructor and very attentive but great and keeping enough distance to allow Ariana to trial on her own and Ivan did phenomenal with all persons on the flight, quick with his problem solving capabilities and kindly, professionally and efficiently worked with all peoples that posed question, seat arrangement discussions and organization. Nicole was very personal and kind. Overall 10/10 would do again,

My experience flying with Frontier for the first time was wonderful. Boarding was quick & organized. The flight was smooth. Stewardesses were friendly. They did try to overcharge for my bag on my flight home but I passed the requirements to not pay. I'd fly again.

Flight from Buffalo to rdu on…

Took flight from Buffalo to rdu on 8.16.24 at 730. Frontier seems to be getting things together. Gate attendants, stewardesses and pilots were fantastic. Plane arrived and took off on time. Great job. 5 stars.

I do think it quite ironic how most of the reviews say something about being charged for carry on when you book your ticket it is right there saying to pay for your carry on or checked bag now because it will be $$ at the airport. Two times this year as we waited to drop off our bags they had personnel going through and saying the same thing, if you did not pay for bag to do it now as it would be so much more if you hit the desk. If you went straight through and didn't pay before, maybe you should remember next time. Not the airlines fault you do not want to read
