Ginny’s Reviews
Ginny's has received overwhelmingly negative feedback from shoppers, with 16 reviews averaging 1.1 out of 5. The most serious recurring complaints involve refund processing failures, with multiple customers reporting unpaid refunds and unresolved payment issues that have persisted for weeks despite repeated contact with customer service. Shoppers consistently describe poor customer service experiences, including representatives who fail to document calls or account information, contradictory information from different staff members, and general unresponsiveness to customer concerns. Shipping is also cited as problematic, with reports of slow delivery times and high costs.
While one shopper noted that a rain jacket was cute and reasonably priced, the product failed to deliver on its core function, soaking through completely in light rain. This single positive remark about product appearance was vastly outweighed by functionality issues and order fulfillment problems. The pattern across reviews suggests systemic issues with order processing (products charged but not sent, duplicate charges), refund handling, and customer service responsiveness that extend beyond isolated incidents.
Still waiting on my refund. I'm planning to contact their corporate office and possibly hire an attorney over this.
Terrible customer service. The agents don't write down anything about your calls or payments. I've called three times since late December and nobody recorded a single call or payment info on my account.
They charged me for an order but never sent the products. Now they're asking for another payment. What's going on here?
The rain jacket is really cute and eighty bucks seems reasonable for a small business, though the shipping took forever. The problem is it's not actually waterproof. I wore it for just ten minutes in light rain and was completely soaked through to my clothes. I had to sit through my whole lecture dripping wet. Regular hoodies keep me drier than this jacket and they don't have any waterproofing at all. It looks nice but it's not worth the price when it doesn't do what it's supposed to do. I specifically needed a rain jacket and this doesn't work.
My bank ended up paying them off. I'd made a sixty dollar payment on my account, which was more than I owed. I called eleven days ago asking them to refund the overpayment back to my card. Never happened. I've now talked to ten different representatives and each one tells me something different. They kept my sixty dollars. Everyone says they'll send a refund but nobody actually does. This company is awful and clearly has no idea what they're doing. The staff is shady. If you get a Ginny's credit card you will regret it.
Avoid this place. Customer service is poor and shipping is both expensive and incredibly slow. They clearly don't care about taking care of their customers.
Sent back items I ordered but they don't provide prepaid return labels. I had to pay out of pocket to ship everything back and they won't refund my return shipping costs. My balance was zero and now they're saying I owe them twenty-three dollars. So I got charged for them to send it to me plus I paid to send it back. That's double charging. I'm paying them off and never ordering anything from this company again. Worst customer service I've ever experienced.
Worst company out there. They claim they offer payment plans but then charge your entire balance all at once. Really shameful behavior, especially during the holidays.
Can't reach them through their website. I had an account with this company and according to them my balance is paid off. But I keep getting phone calls marked as spam and I can't get in touch with them through the site. Is this even a legitimate business?
The Steel Gazebo came with tons of heavy hardware that made it seem really sturdy and secure. My daughter and I assembled it with professional help and everything looked solid. Turns out it wasn't. It collapsed when we had some light rain and a mild breeze. Total waste of money. As a senior on a fixed income, I feel like I got fooled. I've learned the hard way not to order items like this from Ginny's.
Don't trust Ginny's, it's a complete scam. I purchased a Bissell vacuum with an extended one-year warranty at the end of summer and got it in early fall. After a few weeks I noticed the filter was deteriorating. When I called Bissell they said it's an old model and they don't make replacement filters anymore. You can only wash it so many times before it falls apart. The company told me to contact the warranty company. They said I could either keep a vacuum I can't get parts for or get a two hundred dollar credit toward Ginny's. I never signed anything for this warranty. I said yes when they asked during the phone call, but I didn't know what I was agreeing to. This place is a scam and I'm warning everyone to stay away from them and any companies they're connected with.
Ordered something from them and they said I needed to make a down payment. Instead, they charged the full $504 all at once and then cancelled my order. Now I'm having trouble getting my money back. I'm taking my business elsewhere.
Honestly, I'm kind of relieved my order never shipped because I've read the reviews on here now. Placed an order that just sat there with no updates. When I asked about it, they said I needed to pay a down payment, but there was no way to do that on their site. I asked them to either send me a payment link or cancel the order. They said it was cancelled. But they never explained why they couldn't give me the link I asked for. Plus my order still shows as pending on their website, so now I gotta deal with that mess. Their support team is confusing and unhelpful. The whole experience was a waste of my time. Items are overpriced anyway and shipping costs way too much. I wanted to spread payments out, but this company isn't worth the hassle.
Hands down the worst customer service ever. Called five times to check on a replacement item. First call was practically impossible to hear with all the background noise, and then she just hung up on me after I'd been waiting for fifteen minutes. The last person I talked to, Rose, basically told me to be quiet because I was saying too much and she didn't want to hear any more. They gave me four different dates for when my package would arrive. It felt like I was talking to complete amateurs. I'm definitely writing the company about this.
I knew Ginny's was overpriced but I needed to get my kids some snow boots and a heater after ours got stolen, and my credit wasn't great at the time so I figured I'd give them a shot. Big mistake. Prices are crazy high, shipping is expensive, no free shipping options, and most product reviews are one to three stars. They specifically target people with bad credit and charge them way more because they know they can get away with it. It's despicable how this greedy company takes advantage of people who are already struggling.
