Nothing happened until I followed up myself and it got moved to a manager. A replacement was eventually sent, but when I asked if there was any goodwill gesture available, they declined, even though the mix-up caused real problems and it was supposed to be a time-sensitive gift. To top it off, the replacement watch showed signs of previous handling and didn't have the protective film you'd expect on a brand new luxury piece. For something at this price point, that's really unacceptable and doesn't feel legitimate. The entire experience didn't match what Goldsmiths advertises about their premium service. I expected much better attention to detail, communication, and care for a purchase at this level. I won't be coming back.
