The order arrived weeks behind schedule and the package was completely smashed when it got here. They point blank refused to refund me or send a replacement. Stay away from this company. They'll deliver late and if anything gets damaged, they'll just wash their hands of it.

Would give them negative five stars if I could. I've read the complaints - scam, scam, scam - and it's all accurate. They know all the dirty tricks, hitting you with hidden fees and inflated shipping charges after you think you're done paying. Assuming you get through all that nonsense and actually complete your purchase, you're in for real trouble if you need customer support. Your calls go to an offshore call center that sounds like it's based in India, with representatives reading straight from a script focused on avoiding help by creating obstacles instead. They won't actually assist you because anything outside the script requires their supervisor. Demanding a supervisor call? Good luck. I eventually got one on the phone and she was worse - actively making things harder. Once I mentioned disputing the charge with AMEX, she completely shut down and said she couldn't help anymore. Turns out that was solid advice. AMEX handled my dispute professionally and refunded me completely as they should have. Don't touch this company.

I received a fruit box as a gift and immediately had to throw away about a quarter of it because the fruit was rotten. I'll probably need to let the person know to steer clear of this company in the future. The fruit also looked like it came from a regular grocery store with the supermarket stickers still on it. Not the kind of special touch you'd expect from a gift basket service. I do appreciate the thought, though.

Sent a gift basket to a relative out of state who was grieving the loss of his mother. He and his family were really touched by the thoughtful gesture and loved what they received. I wanted to go with something more meaningful than just flowers since I couldn't be there in person. I'll definitely use Gourmet Gift Baskets again for my next special occasion gift.

Had a really good experience overall. The website was easy to navigate, they had a great variety of products to pick from, and I could find something suitable for pretty much any occasion.

Ordered a Halloween basket to arrive the day before the holiday. I bought it on October 20th and selected October 30th as my delivery date. But when they actually shipped it, the tracking showed a delivery date of October 31st. It's now November 1st and the recipient still hasn't received it. Definitely overpriced and the timing was way off.

Didn't want to pay a $25 shipping fee, so I selected a $3.95 delivery option instead. They charged me $25 anyway. I also checked the box to have a notification sent to the recipients immediately after ordering to alert them about delivery. They never got any email. The package arrived on Friday, but I didn't get notified until Sunday night at 9:45 PM. This company is dishonest and completely unreliable. Will never order again.

Placed an order on the 13th for same day delivery on the 14th. When it didn't show up and I couldn't reach anyone after trying three times, I finally got through to a representative. They apologized and then dropped the bomb that the item wasn't even eligible for same day delivery. No one had bothered to tell me this in the first place. They said they couldn't complete the order at all and refunded me, but when I asked if they could send a different replacement basket to make up for it, they said it was only refund or replacement, not both. I took the refund, but I'd steer clear of this company. Their customer service is really lacking.

When I got to the final checkout, the shipping cost had somehow tripled. I called customer service and got someone with a pretty heavy accent who informed me there's a hidden base shipping charge on top of whatever amount you pick for your delivery timeframe. The total shipping ended up being almost as much as the gift basket itself. Not interested. There are tons of other options out there.

Total ripoff. Ordered it with same day delivery and even called to confirm everything was good to go. The tracking system wasn't working, so I called back to check on delivery status. They told me it was never actually shipped because it was out of stock. I paid for same day delivery and everything. Nobody called me, nobody sent an email, they did absolutely nothing. Unacceptable.

Got an email from their mailing list with a discount code LOVEMOM advertised for 15% off in really big text. I tried using it multiple times but it kept getting rejected. After finally reaching customer support, they seemed confused about the whole thing, then tested it themselves and told me it was only good for 10% - which still didn't work anyway. The email clearly stated 15% off, and I offered to forward it to them but they weren't interested. They said I'd have to wait until the following week to talk to someone about it since there's no weekend support. With everything else going on, I don't have the bandwidth for this hassle. There are plenty of other companies that can do better.

Got a gift basket for my wife on Valentine's Day and paid $20 for shipping to guarantee it would arrive on the 14th. It didn't come until the 17th. The roses were over $100 and they're already dying - they didn't even open. This will be my only order from them and I'm not recommending anyone else try them out.

Skip this company and spare yourself the headache. Placed an order on August 1st, paid $20 for delivery on August 3rd, and by August 5th it still hadn't shown up with zero communication. I attempted calling customer support, waited 15 minutes on hold, then gave up. This outfit doesn't provide service - they provide frustration. Don't bother. UPDATE: Still no delivery on August 6th. Eventually got someone on the phone who said they'd issue a refund. If it doesn't hit my account in a few days, I'm calling my credit card company to dispute the charge. This company is a joke. Seriously, stay away.

Ordered three Easter baskets for family members - normally I go with Harry and David. Only one made it before Easter, and that one went to the wrong address. I tried reaching them by email, phone, and through customer service to stop the other two since I'd made a typo in the address. Being a holiday, nobody would answer or cancel the orders. One went to a complete stranger who kept it. The last one was sent back when the office realized nobody was at that unit. I sat on hold for 20 minutes on Tuesday, left a voicemail, and when they called back, they basically said tough luck. Even though the third basket had chocolate in it, they refused to refund or resend it - they just offered to let me spend more money to try again. Awful experience from start to finish. Never coming back.
