I got two boxes of five Covid Rapid Antigen tests and they were already 80 percent through their 15 month lifespan. That basically made them not worth having since we're heading out for a five month road trip starting in September when they'd only have about a month left. The customer service person was nice enough, but she just said that's how things work. It's wrong that they don't tell people on their website that you might get test kits that are almost done expiring.
Update: responding to iHealth's message. What needs to happen is their 105 day policy needs to be made public so buyers know about it too. We deserve the ability to know what we're getting, particularly since these products can't be sent back or swapped out. I placed an order for an iHealth Flu A and B with COVID-19 combo test kit in July 2025 and got it a few days later. I've bought from them before and usually get tests good for at least six months, often a year. But this batch expires in September, less than two months away. I checked a box from last October and it's got an expiration date one day later than what I just received. That means a test from almost a year ago lasts longer than my current one. I wasn't happy about that, so I called customer service and asked if they could send me tests with later expiration dates. Basically, they said too bad and that they send whatever meets their minimum expiration requirement.
I got an iHealth Labs Blood Monitoring device last September through an online marketplace. This month it started throwing errors and stopped working right. I contacted their support team and they were incredible. They figured out what was wrong really fast, got the Parts Department working on a replacement, and had a new one to me the next day.
I've been using several of their health products every day for the last four or five years and they're solidly made and actually help keep track of your health numbers. The only time I ran into trouble was with the Clear BPM, but the tech support team walked me through what I was doing wrong. I'm a believer in what they make.
