JLab Audio Reviews
JLab Audio receives polarized feedback, with shoppers split between those praising sound quality and battery life and those frustrated with durability and customer service issues. Positive reviewers consistently highlight impressive audio performance, long battery endurance (some reporting three days per charge), and comfort. However, a substantial portion of reviewers report hardware failures including cracked headbands, one earbud dying, and complete device failure within warranty periods. Beyond product issues, multiple shoppers cite significant customer service concerns: unresponsive support, warranty claims being denied or requiring destructive proof-of-damage videos, and lack of follow-up on warranty claims even after initial quick responses.
The most recurring complaint centers on durability and build quality, with plastic components deteriorating under normal daily use. Equally troubling are the warranty and support experiences, where customers report JLab becoming unresponsive after initial contact or imposing unreasonable requirements (such as destroying products on video) to honor warranties. A smaller subset of reviewers also mention frustrating automatic pause features triggered by low battery notifications that interrupt listening.
Picked up the JBuds Lux ANC about a year back and the sound quality is genuinely great. Battery life is impressive too, lasting around three days per charge. My main complaint is that the plastic headband has started cracking and falling apart on me. I've owned other brands that hold up way better through daily all-day use without developing structural problems like this.
Been through the return process several times with the seller because one side keeps dying. These are completely useless and I wouldn't purchase them again or tell anyone else to either.
The sound quality is solid and these headphones have an excellent battery that lasts a really long time. They're pretty comfortable and make for a decent choice overall. The one problem is those low battery notifications. Once the battery drops to thirty percent or below, which they call low, the headphones will pause whatever you're listening to every thirty seconds to tell you the battery is low. This keeps happening even though you've still got hours of playback left. The terrible part is there's no way to turn off the notification, so if you hate constant interruptions these probably aren't for you. They basically become unusable until you charge them up.
Three weeks have gone by and Jlab hasn't made a single move toward honoring their warranty or taking care of their customer. My earbuds stopped working before even a year was up. Both ears just died in five minutes. At first Jlab seemed super responsive and like they really cared about making sure I felt appreciated as a customer. The second you complete what they ask to start your warranty claim, they vanish and the excuses start rolling. Every time I follow up asking what's happening, I get vague answers about needing to wait longer, inventory problems, or whatever other reason they come up with, with zero actual answers. I even bought another pair while waiting for my replacements because I was confident they'd show up. I've totally given up at this point. I felt betrayed. Reading reviews from other frustrated customers, it seems like unless you're one of the lucky few they decide to help, you need to pay out your own pocket for a replacement that costs the same as the original earbuds. I'm not doing that. In my opinion the warranty is just marketing to push sales. I had Jabras before and they replaced three pairs in a year without any hassle. JLab needs to fix both their customer service and their products.
The reviews for this place actually make a lot of sense now. I emailed them to get in touch and they never bothered responding. I'm definitely not buying from them again.
Do not get JLab products. I tried to start a warranty claim because my earbuds stopped working. They responded right away and we went back and forth on emails within an hour. Everything seemed great at first. Then they told me to make a video of dunking the earbuds and charger in water to completely destroy them, and then they'd replace them under warranty. I did what they asked and they wanted my shipping address. I gave it to them and then nothing. I've sent four follow-up emails asking for a status update and haven't heard back once. This isn't even the first time they've blown me off and made promises they didn't keep. They actually stopped following me on Facebook after I posted about how they'd treated me. Look at other JLab reviews and you'll see tons of customers reporting the exact same thing. They're told to destroy their stuff, promised help, and then ghosted. Don't waste your money on JLab because if something breaks you are not going to get your replacement under warranty.
When these charge, the battery is fantastic, but the charging itself is super inconsistent. One side died pretty quickly after I started using them. I've also had a bunch of trouble with keeping the Bluetooth connection stable. Can't recommend these at all. Feels like I flushed money down the toilet.
The battery life is good when these actually charge, but charging is really unreliable. One side quit working after just a short time of using them. Also had lots of trouble getting them to stay connected through Bluetooth. Definitely wouldn't suggest buying these. Total waste of your money.
The Jlab Go Pop True Wireless Earbuds require you to completely insert and remove them from the charging case just to turn them on and off. There's no other way to control power without taking them in and out of the case. Sometimes they won't even power on after you do that. The whole design feels weird, not user-friendly, and pretty annoying overall.
Grabbed a pair of JLab earbuds a few days back and honestly I'm pretty let down. There's this constant hissing noise in the background no matter what I'm doing, and I'm not talking about the weird Aware feature either. The hissing shows up on literally every single setting I try.
Bought my JLab GO pop+ almost two months ago and while they work okay most of the time, they've started not charging all the way. I've cleaned the earbuds and case multiple times thinking that might help, but it didn't make any difference. I even tried resetting them and nothing worked. Starting to feel like I threw my money away on these.
Used to be a big JLab fan and recommended them to lots of people I know. Then my luck ran out. One earbud from a pair fell in the street and I contacted them. They were super responsive and actually let me replace just that one ear for a discounted price, which seemed really fair. But things went downhill quick. Another pair I bought stopped working just two weeks later, so I tried to get both problems fixed at once. That's when they basically ghosted me. No response to any of my emails, just complete silence. To make matters worse, a set I got for my roommate started acting up about two months in. I've sent five emails and got nothing but radio silence. It's a terrible feeling watching your money disappear like that. I'd really suggest steering clear of this brand if you want to avoid frustration.
It's shocking how poor the quality of their stuff actually is and their customer service after the sale is basically nonexistent. I picked up a gaming mouse and keyboard that weren't cheap, but both have serious problems connecting to multiple devices. The mouse is the real nightmare, refusing to respond forty percent of the time, tracking is all over the place, and it randomly selects or highlights stuff on screen whenever it feels like it. Trying to reach their customer support is just a frustrating waste of your time and energy. I wouldn't touch any other JLab products and I definitely wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
Bought a pair of Jlab sports pro earbuds and within two months they completely stopped working. I reached out to customer service through email and they asked for my purchase receipt, which I sent right over. They replied back asking me to destroy the earbuds by dunking them in water along with the charging case and to record it, which I did and emailed to them. They came back saying everything was covered and a replacement pair would be sent out. That was eleven days ago and they still can't give me a date for when I'll get them because they're claiming there's a supply shortage. Meanwhile I can go buy the exact same ones right now on their website. I'd seriously recommend avoiding their stuff if this is how they handle customers.
Had an amazing experience dealing with JLab's customer service team. One of their support staff really went above and beyond to help me out with an issue I was having with my earphones. They got back to me super fast, showed real empathy, and the solution they offered was quick and honestly better than I expected. Now I can keep enjoying my JLab Work Buds without any problems. The whole conversation was straightforward, kind, and made me feel like they actually cared about my situation. Getting my replacement stuff quickly meant I could jump right back into my daily routine without any interruption. If you're thinking about going with JLab for audio equipment, just know you're getting solid products plus customer support that actually listens. Thanks so much to the whole JLab team for making this such a positive experience. I'd definitely recommend JLab to anyone looking for both great gear and customer service that actually matters.
