What Is the Madewell Shipping Policy?

Madewell ships to all 50 states, Washington, DC, U.S. P.O. Boxes, U.S. territories, and APO/FPO/DPO addresses. The shipping cost and speed depend on your loyalty status with the brand.

For those who are not loyalty members, the costs are as follows:

  • Economy shipping costs $5.00 and takes about 10 business days.

  • Standard shipping costs $7.00 and takes about 6 business days.

  • Expedited shipping costs $15.00 and takes about 2–3 business days.

  • Overnight shipping costs $25.00, with a delivery time that depends on when you place your order.

Keep in mind that if you are a Madewell Insider or a member of a higher tier, you can get free shipping on most orders. All delivery times start the business day after you place your order.

What Is the Madewell Return Policy?

Madewell has a flexible return policy for both online and in-store purchases in the U.S. You can return unworn, unwashed, or defective merchandise for a full refund or exchange within 30 days of the original purchase date.

For certain items, there are extra rules. Swimwear, bodysuits, and intimates must have their original tags and protective liners still attached. Beauty products can be returned as long as they are in new or gently used condition.

Keep in mind that some items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged. This includes anything that has been monogrammed, personalized, or altered. 

Additionally, if you paid with cash in a retail store, you'll need the original receipt to get a refund. All refunds are issued to the original form of payment and may take up to two weeks to be processed.
