If you aren't completely happy with your purchase, New Balance will accept returns of merchandise within 45 days of purchase. 

Returns must be in new condition, in the state you received them. Items marked “non-returnable” or “final sale” cannot be returned. 

To return to a store:

  1. Find your closest store.

  2. Bring your items and packing slip or email order confirmation to the store. No need to repack your items.

  3. Receive your refund immediately. New Balance associates will take care of the rest.

To return online: You just need to print a label and ship your items back to New Balance. 

Online returns are free for members. Non-member returns may be subject to a $5 restocking fee.

NB poor quality.

I have worn NB tennis shoes for years. The quality has certainly gone done since they are not made in USA. The last 2 I have purchased fail apart where the side of the shoe joins the sole. Think they may have lost a loyal customer due to the lack of quality in their shoes now.

I returned a pair of amazing shoes that just happen to lose more sole than I expected and faster too. All went good but I couldn’t work the promo they sent me for a new replacement pair till I got Jay to answer my last call. She was AMAZING and within a few minutes my new shoes are on the way to me!! Thanks to Miss Jay I’m still and always will be a huge NB customer and fan.

Broken shoes at 4(..!) places after a couple months of use. New balance shop at Mall of Scandinavia won’t listen to the costumers. They recommended this shoes to us.

cheap quality, overpriced

I bought a pair of New Balance 530 Trainers in September. After about a month of wear the sole had completely come out of one shoe, however I was prepared to let this slide as a minor mistake on behalf of the manufacturers. Since this initial fault, the other shoe now has a hole wearing through in the back. Considering the price point, advertised quality and that this pair is almost solely worn indoors I am extremely surprised by the extent of the faults. Although it probably goes unsaid, I don't have a habit of wrecking shoes that have cost me around £100 and have taken good care of this product. I am extremely disappointed with manufacturing quality of the shoes. Considering the marketing, price, and supposed quality of these shoes I would expect some form of service to repair the damages, this has so far not been offered.

They keep canceling my orders within…

They keep canceling my orders within seconds after placing the order. Three times now. I spent 1 hour and 8 minutes on the phone with them and they placed the order for me on the phone. Also cancelled within seconds. They don't know why. We went to a store and they only have mens sizes up to 7.5 so can't order them in the live store either. I don't know how they stay in business when you literally can't order shoes in person, online, or through an agent. Nobody can help. On to find new shoes from another company. They state this: "Unfortunately, your order has been canceled because we cannot confirm it was placed by you. Please know that you have not been charged for the item(s). What you may see on your account is a pre-authorization for the full order amount. This authorization will be removed by your bank or credit card company according to their processing times (typically within 7 business days).When placing a new order, please ensure you do the following:· Enter the correct billing address associated with your form of payment· Review your shipping address closely for errors· For international credit cards, please choose your billing country from the dropdown menu......"

COLOR RUNS ON REBEL V4

I bought a pair of Rebel V5 on early Nov during my trip for the NYC Marathon. After just 4 runs, the color runs. I did send my feedback to their customer service few days ago and till now no response from them. I am staying in Malaysia and can't actually return the shoes to NY.

New Balance Is Definitely Above The Rest

I recently purchased the 1906 Loafers for my son , for his B’day . I put myself on the waitlist, when I got the alert , just jumped on it . My son, a pharmacist, has flat feet . As a pharmacist, he is on his feel 24/7 @ work . The smile on his face was thanks enough . We are NB family , own several other brands like Hoka & Nike . But nothing can compare to NB . Comfort , Stylish , On trend , & comparable pricing , our pick as a family , is definitely always NB . Free shipping & free returns is a bonus . Their final answer Absolutely unacceptable customer service from New Balance.

I’m genuinely shocked by how poorly New Balance handles defects in their own products. On both shoes, the upper started separating from the sole after only a few wears — a clear manufacturing fault and absolutely unacceptable for a brand that claims “premium quality.”I provided detailed photos and explained the issue thoroughly, yet New Balance and JD Sports kept sending the same copy-paste response, refusing the return without any real investigation. Their final message? A robotic “outcome remains the same,” offering zero accountability and zero solution.It’s obvious NB prefers hiding behind rigid policies rather than standing behind their workmanship. If this is how they treat customers when their product clearly fails, I won’t be buying New Balance again.Extremely disappointing from a brand that should know better.

New Balance is a really good shoe…

New Balance is a really good shoe brand, . They dont look too fancy but they just work. Super comfy for walkin or runnin, and they last long too. I had a pair for years, still solid. Their 990 shoes are like classic now, everyone wears them. Some people think they look a bit old school, but that’s kinda the cool part. They just focus on quality, not hype. If u want comfort and real stuff, New Balance is worth it....i ve been their user for so many years, and it is good...but depends on tastes I guessrecently noticed that prices are bit hgiher,,,but quality remaisn same

Defective product and horrible customer…

Defective product and horrible customer support A pair of NB golf shoes that I had worn for less than 7 months had a piece of the sole fall off. When I contacted customer support they said that I hadn't stored the shoes properly. Within a week, the EXACT SAME piece of sole fell off the other shoe. Again they failed to provide any support whatsoever. I sent the shoes to the CEO along with a letter AND RECEIVED NO RESPONSE AT ALL. I think that tells you all you need to know about this company. A fish rots from the head down, and Joe Preston, CEO is ROTTEN.

I wish I had read the negative reviews

Order NE05075059 . I wish I had read the negative reviews here before ordering there. I would like to share my very negative experience with my online order and Lena from the CS team. I’ve ordered a pair of kids shoes. Yesterday I received my order with only one shoe inside. The right one was missing the left one was inside. I contacted right away new balance. Lena replied to my emails and I sent 5 already in total that she won’t help me and closing the case that in such a short time she already did a “full” investigation with UPS. Sure. I sent her pictures all proof and she wasn’t even interested in helping or supporting in any ways. ImShocked. I’ve never experienced this. I’ve asked her only to send me the missing shoe. But she just closed the case and wrote with any more replies of me she will tell me the same thing. Wow. I’ll report this to the police and also to my credit card company. I asked her to talk to her team lead.

Terrible online service

Terrible online service. I don't recommend buying online. I placed an order on October 23rd with an estimated delivery date of October 27th. Today is October 29th, and the order status is still pending. When I asked about canceling, they told me to wait for the order to arrive and then return it to them. UPD. Funny how NB only decided to refund me after I filed a dispute with my bank. Clearly, customer care isn’t their priority.

Cowboys - beware of ordering from this company

I came here to write a review of NewBalance following my experience with them and their customer service dept, and find hundreds of reports of even worse experiences with them!I rarely ever write reviews, but just wanted to warn others as their customer service is so rank.I ordered 2 different sizes of same trainer on Weds 1st Oct to see which fit best.Paid £14.50 for express delivery - standard delivery was free as the order was over £100, but I needed them by the Sunday as I was going away on Monday 6th.The confirmation email advised they'd be delivered Saturday 4th October. in my opinion, that’s not express delivery worth paying £14.50 for, but at least I’d have them for going away.However they didn’t arrive on Sat 4th or Sun 5th.On Monday 6th, after I had gone on holiday, I received an email advising the shoes had been delivered.I contacted their customer services who said that express delivery is perfectly acceptable to deliver within 3 business days.Even though my email said they’d be delivered on a Saturday, Saturday doesn’t count as a business day, and ups don’t deliver on a Saturday, therefore Monday would have been 3 business days.He escalated it for me to his manager, and said he would call to tell me the outcome.24hrs later I received an email advising the same response as the first advisor.I replied straight away saying £14.50 for delivery 5 days after placing the order (no public or bank holidays in there) is a joke and I’ll never order from them again.The following day I received an email asking me to review either my order or the call with customer services - I clicked on the link, only to get a message saying it had closed.Bunch of cowboys, shocking customer service. But going by most of these reviews, I got off lightly!

Shocking customer care

I bought New Balance (brand partner) trainers from ASOS. Ordered UK 6 received USA 6 which is a UK 4. Trainers were now out of stock so asked if they could price support another pair. ASOS cannot support as NB is a brand partner. Contacted NB as they shipped the goods & was met with poor CS again & told they cannot help & to contact ASOS!Checked again & the size I needed was back in stock (most likely another unhappy customer return with the wrong size) so I ordered another pair as I had my heart set on these. They have just arrived in the wrong size AGAIN! Contacted ASOS to be met with the same response & to be told there was clearly an issue with NB so not to try ordering again for a while!!! I asked if they would contact NB on my behalf to be told no & my only option is to return them to NB.I’m appalled at the lack of customer care here from a company this size who clearly can help but just simply don’t want to. Last time I order from there now!

Consumer rights mean nothing to them

I ordered some trainers to a UPS pick up point (£110). I always get things delivered to pick up points because it’s safest (lol- have definitely changed my mind now!). The order stated delivered 3/9/2025 on the tracking. I went to collect them on the 6/9/2025 and the lady at the shop told me they had no UPS deliveries and did not have my parcel. I thought it would be an easy fix. Emailed new balance and I don’t know what planet they’ve sourced their customer service staff from. Just brainless, incompetent, illiterate and couldn’t care less. They kept sending me the tracking information saying it had been delivered. I called them on the phone twice and they feign good customer service by apologising but then don’t actually follow through with what they say. Over a month of emails getting nowhere.Anyway, apparently UPS did an investigation and sent ‘proof of delivery’. I got an email from new balance saying the case was closed and nothing I could say would change anything. The ‘proof’ they send me was a confirmation of receipt from …. The wrong shop. A shop with a very unique name. A shop a couple hundred metres down the road. And they’ve basically stone walled me now. Called me a liar. So the only option now is to charge back. And funnily enough I ordered the shoes from office.co.uk in the meantime with no problems. Do not buy directly from new balance. Only buy from third party sellers. It honestly baffles the mind how New Balance is willing to call me a liar and ignore the name of the wrong shop in black and white. They just expect me to let £110 go into thin air. They have no grasp of UK consumer law or common sense. A charge back with my credit card is now my only recourse. Order: NK06909802. Beware!
