New Era Return Policy

New Era offers a customer-friendly return policy to ensure your satisfaction.

You have 60 days from the date of purchase to return any item you are not happy with for a full refund.

To be eligible for a refund, all returned items must be unworn, unwashed, and in new condition. All original tags, stickers, and any special components (like pins) must be included with the return.

You can expect your refund to be issued within 10 business days of the return being received at the New Era warehouse. The refund will be credited back to your original method of payment and may take an additional 2–3 business days to post, depending on your financial institution.

Note that some sale items may be marked as "final sale" and are non-returnable. This information will be clearly stated in the item's description and on your order confirmation.

3. Can I return a New Era product purchased at a retail location through the website?

No, New Era's website can only process returns for items purchased directly through neweracap.com. Items bought at other retail locations must be returned to the original place of purchase, in accordance with that retailer's return policy.

scammers

Sent me the wrong size hoodie that I ordered for my partner for Christmas - a 3XL when I ordered a small - and said they are unable to replace the item. All they provided me was a 25% off code to order again from them (which I will not be doing because the hoodie is way more expensive now) and said they would refund me for the cost of the item, but are not refunding me the shipping charge. Very poor customer service that shows no accountability for the mistake they made.

Bad service and potential scam

Customer service sucks, no one helps when you’re missing items or give updates on the next steps. They continue to miss items when purchasing more than 2 items at once and will mark as delivered. There’s no way to speak with anyone, the number disconnects you after a minute and will say no one is available. This website is a huge scam and will not recommend shopping here. 0 stars for this company

Poor Customer Experience

I ordered a 2025 Salute to Service Buffalo Bills beanie as my first purchase and used a first-time discount code. Unfortunately, the package was stolen from my front porch. I provided New Era with doorbell camera video showing the theft and asked if a replacement or accommodation was possible, but they refused to replace the item.I then reordered the same item when it was listed at 30% off and also used a 20% app discount as a first-time app purchase. One to two days later, New Era unexpectedly canceled my order without explanation. When I contacted customer service to ask why, I was given no reasonable or clear reason for the cancellation.At this point, the item is back to full price, and I am no longer able to use any of the discount codes I previously applied. Between refusing to assist with a documented theft and canceling a legitimate reorder without explanation, this experience has been extremely disappointing. I expected better customer service from a company of this size.

They sent me 2 damaged items then tried to charge me more

They sent me 2 damaged items. I immediately contacted them to try to get them exchanged as well as sent pictures of the defects. They told me they do not do exchanges and only returns. When I explained that the cost I paid was lower then the current price and I would also have to pay for shipping as I originally ordered 5 hats and got free shipping, they said they would not honor the original price nor offer free shipping even though they sent me faulty products and this was no fault of my own. When I asked for them to properly honor the prices I paid, they said they don't do price watching! Huh? WTF kind of scam are you running? DO THE RIGHT THING!!!! It also seems like its not even a real person or it's just a person sending automated responses which don't address the issues but rather pass the buck.

This company is the worst

This company is the worst! The only way to contact them is through email and they don't respond. I finally received a refund for a cap that I ordered in October but never received. It took 45 days!

I will never order anything from this…

I will never order anything from this company again. My order was supposed to be delivered by 11/28/25… it is now 12/8/25. And nobody can tell me where the 150 dollars worth of hats is. It’s ridiculous. Keep the money. I don’t want a refund. But I will never spend another dime with an inconsiderate, unprofessional company. You SUCK!

DO NOT BUY HATS THROUGH NEW ERA

Sent me the wrong item. It was the correct barcode of the item I ordered on the incorrect hat. Customer service told me I did receive the item I ordered, and then tried to get ME to pay return shipping to send it back. New Era does bad business because they don’t know how to label a product correctly, and I get to pay more and wait longer! What a great deal and way to show your customer you think they’re no better than garbage! Don’t worry though, no phone customer support. They only use chat and the same predetermined prompts. Cassidy, the rep who “assisted” me, made me feel like I was somehow in the wrong. Just send me the correct $3 in material and labor cost hat and admit you guys screwed up. I’ll burn the incorrect one, along with every other new era hat I own.

Absolutely the worst to deal with

Absolutely the worst to deal with. You email them and they send you back the same bs auto generated email in response. Complete joke. You need someone answering phones. Not emails. We need to speak to someone live. Also when. Someone places and order they should be able to fix any errors there may be. Then when you ship out an item knowingly knowing thiat its going to the wrong address and you've disregarded all my emails and calling FedEx is a joke also. Because you put in there only you can change the address but when I email you your response is you can't. Screw you and you overpriced trash. I should be able to pick up my package at the FedEx location near me. It's going there anyways and I'm 5 minutes from the placement. Totally unreasonable. Lost a customer. I will never buy another New Era hat as long as I live not for me or my son.

Won't ship my hat

Ordered a hat, they say it's in stock and there's an issue with releasing it. Been over a month, they just won't send it. It makes no sense why they're not sending it. Very unprofessional company

Ordered a cap as a gift

Ordered a cap as a gift. Was expecting it to come when I get a cancelation email from them . No explanation, other than its canceled. So i reached out to customer service and the response I get is it happened at the the warehouse! Bad response, bad customer service, bad business.
