The filter material is the same cheap white stuff from the home improvement store, whereas the MERV 11s are a dark yellow with metal bracing and you can't see light passing through them. These Nordic Pure filters are completely transparent. I'm returning them right away. Would you ever buy medicine from a bottle with nothing written on it? Of course you wouldn't.
