Atlas Coffee Club Reviews
What Shoppers Say About Atlas Coffee Club
Atlas Coffee Club is rated 1.8 out of 5 by 20 shoppers, and reviews are heavily polarized. The majority of shoppers report serious quality and service issues: coffee that tastes poor (described as resembling instant coffee), automatic charges and shipments without clear consent, unhelpful refund policies, and lack of allergen labeling for customers with tree nut allergies. A small number of satisfied customers praise the global variety, freshness, and customer service, though these positive reviews are vastly outnumbered.
Recurring complaints center on subscription management problems, where customers report being charged unexpectedly and facing difficulties obtaining refunds. Quality expectations set by the brand's positioning do not match what most reviewers receive in their orders. The few five-star reviews highlight responsive customer service and product quality, suggesting inconsistent experiences across orders or significant variance in coffee selection and roasting.

Sorted by: Most recentI really know coffee, and I've tasted good stuff from all over the world. This ain't it. I was hyped to try it so I grabbed three bags thinking at least one would be decent. Nope. I sampled one from each and couldn't get past two sips before throwing them out. Super let down. When I reached out about returning it, they hit me with all these conditions. You pay shipping, you have to return it within a super tight window, and you only get partial money back even if you jump through all their hoops. If they really stood behind their product, they wouldn't make it so complicated. Their email tone was defensive and unfriendly when I politely asked to cancel. Wish I'd looked at reviews first or I would've skipped this disaster.
These coffees from around the world are fantastic and I can't say enough good things about the company. My son loves coffee as much as I do and we've been really happy with our subscription together. They follow up with customers, they actually read and respond to emails, and their coffee is seriously amazing and stays fresh. You get one or two that might not be your favorite, but that's totally fine. What they offer is way better than what you grab off Amazon or from regular grocery stores since those sit around for months and get stale. The packaging is beautiful with nice boxes and cards that tell you where each coffee comes from. Don't pay attention to the negative reviews. Try it yourself and you'll see how good it really is. Plus, their coffee doesn't upset your stomach like most brands do, which is perfect if you do intermittent fasting.
I managed to get through a couple of cups of this awful coffee before they automatically charged and shipped another bag without my approval. I shot them an email right away saying I didn't want it, and their response was basically that I was out of luck. If I tried returning it, they wouldn't refund my money anyway. The coffee tasted terrible, but their customer service was somehow even worse.
Look elsewhere for better options. For folks like us with serious tree nut allergies, their selection is dangerous because some products have those ingredients. There's no way to flag this in your preferences. They also don't refund anything. We got a shipment with almond coffee that would literally cause anaphylaxis for us. Never ordering again. Bones Coffee works much better for our situation.
I'm sharing this to save people time and money if they're thinking about trying this brand. I never actually got to taste the product because of their problems. I ordered a starter pack with some extra bags and set up a monthly subscription. I was looking forward to the probiotics that you don't get from other brands. Two weeks went by without any shipping updates even though my payment went through. After a week, I sent an email to support asking if there was a problem with my address or payment and got nothing back. I tried again the next week and still no reply. By day fourteen I called to talk to someone but got stuck in a hold queue and nobody ever picked up. After forty-five minutes I gave up, cancelled my subscription, and emailed to cancel the order. They did process the cancellation the next day, but they never sent me any message from support explaining what happened or saying sorry. This is some of the worst customer service I've had.
Let me save you time and cash. I tried their coffee on a trial basis. Two bags that should have lasted two months. I ditched it after two weeks. Taste is like instant coffee with powdered milk, total disaster. The price tag is outrageous for what you get, not worth it. Here's the sneaky part: they automatically signed me up for recurring shipments without asking, and inside thirty days they shipped two more bags and charged me almost sixty bucks. When I wanted to return the second order, no luck. They won't refund. Plus they never answer the phone. I still haven't seen the second delivery despite them claiming it was delivered. Had to dispute it with my credit card because email responses are the same template over and over. I never even got a confirmation email for auto renewal or the terms. Customer service basically doesn't exist. Don't waste your money. You could make this at home with instant coffee and powdered milk and save yourself the hassle and expense.
The whole point of their business is shipping coffee to people. They said it would arrive on a specific date but instead it got there five days early and completely ruined a gift I was planning. If you're going to advertise delivery dates as a feature or market items for gifts, you need to actually stick to what you promise.
Purchased a year-long subscription as a gift and it was excellent. Every shipment came with a different variety of full beans and the pricing was fair. The staff was really approachable and the site was easy to use. Would absolutely be a customer myself if I lived in the US. Really happy with this experience overall.
I ordered their mushroom blend and it's the only one I've tried that I absolutely cannot drink. The taste and smell are revolting, totally inedible. They were cool about cancelling my subscription but refused to give me any refund, which other brands always do. The other varieties I've sampled were actually pretty good, so this was a letdown. Their customer service is really bad. Stuff on Amazon costs way less and tastes better, and Mud Water is superior even though it doesn't taste like coffee at all. I also didn't realize it wasn't vegetarian. On top of everything else, it smells like something dead.
