Big Fig Mattress Reviews
What Shoppers Say About Big Fig Mattress
Big Fig Mattress receives overwhelmingly negative feedback from most shoppers, with significant complaints centering on durability issues, misleading return policies, and product quality. Multiple reviewers report that mattresses develop noticeable sagging and indentations in the middle within a few years of normal use, while others describe the firmness as uncomfortable and inadequate for their needs. The company's 120-night trial period is criticized as misleading, with customers reporting long delays in scheduling returns and missed pickup appointments. Website navigation problems have also frustrated potential buyers.
A small minority of shoppers report positive experiences, with at least one customer praising the mattress as well-suited for larger body types and noting it helped resolve previous back pain issues. However, this positive feedback is vastly outweighed by complaints about foam breakdown, sagging support, inadequate customer service solutions (such as suggesting expensive toppers as fixes), and reliability concerns that emerge after just a few years of ownership.

Sorted by: Most recentThis company is straight up lying about their trial period. They claim you get 120 nights risk free but that's bogus. The day after I got mine I called to say it was too soft and wanted to send it back. They made me wait two weeks just to book a pickup. Had an appointment scheduled for Friday and nobody showed. They texted me that night apologizing and asked if they could come the next day instead. I said yes and got stood up again. Since then I've been trying to reach someone by phone but keep getting voicemail with no callbacks. Sent multiple emails and haven't heard anything since the second no-show. Update - they responded claiming they contacted me that morning but that's false. My pickup was supposed to be between 8am and 12pm and their text came at 10:48am, giving me barely an hour. Then I got ghosted a third time the next day with zero communication. I have screenshots and messages proving everything. This company just makes stuff up. Their response won't change the fact that they treated me terribly as a customer. Do better.
Started off really well with no back issues for a couple years. Then things took a turn for the worse. The middle started sinking in or sloping toward the edges so much that I felt like sliding off. Tried rotating it but that didn't help. The bed frame also started having problems with pieces loosening or coming undone.
The navigation on this site makes it nearly impossible to escape and get back to search results. That's a quick way to make sure I never buy anything here. You need to fix this.
Worst mattress I've ever slept on. Way too firm and completely flat. I'm in pain every single day using it. Reached out to customer service and their solution was for me to buy a 4 inch topper on top of what I already paid. Seriously? I tried everything to make this thing work but nothing helped. If you're thinking about ordering, be aware it's super stiff and flat. Much disappointed with the so-called year long trial guarantee they advertise.
Bought a king mattress along with the box spring and frame back in 2018. Within just over four years the foam started breaking down and now there's a noticeable dip in the middle. Both sides have sunk so much that you're either sliding down into it or laying at an angle. It's incredibly uncomfortable. We're not huge people and we flip the mattress regularly, so we were shocked how quickly it went downhill. Most mattresses last seven to ten years minimum, and given what we paid plus Big Fig's marketing about durability and their materials stopping sagging, we thought this would hold up longer. We contacted the company but the warranty only covers sagging deeper than an inch, and ours is just under. Plus the warranty doesn't even account for what happens when you're actually lying in the bed. If you're thinking about this one, think twice. We wish we hadn't spent the money on it.
This is exactly what it claims to be - a mattress built specifically for larger body types. I'm 6'3" and 280 pounds and I was dealing with really bad lower back pain. Other mattresses I tried always left my spine feeling off, so I figured I'd give this one a shot. Getting it set up wasn't too complicated, though it does come boxed. You'll definitely need a second person to help unbox and move it unless you're really strong. The first few nights I felt the firmness pushing on my ribs, but by night three everything clicked and felt just right. The support is outstanding and honestly there's nothing else out there that works better for heavier folks. It looks quality and expensive but cost way less than what you'd pay in a showroom for something comparable. If you carry extra weight, grab one without hesitation. Plus there's a 120 day window to try it out so you're covered. One heads up though - if your bed frame has under-bed storage, the added height from the box spring and mattress gets pretty tall and you might want a step stool. My partner is 5'9" and 165 and he thinks it's great too.
