Blu Dot Reviews
What Shoppers Say About Blu Dot
Blu Dot shoppers are sharply divided. About half of reviewers report significant durability problems with furniture that falls apart from normal use, along with severe customer service failures including unresponsive support staff, missed deliveries, unexplained delays lasting months past promised dates, and lack of communication throughout the ordering process. The other half of reviewers appear satisfied with their purchases, though specific positive feedback is limited in the available data. The recurring complaints center on product quality degradation over time, delivery logistics issues, and a customer service team that shoppers describe as unresponsive and unhelpful when problems arise.
For those considering Blu Dot, the main concerns involve both the longevity of furniture pieces and the company's ability to manage orders and customer issues effectively. Shoppers report spending significant amounts on items only to experience structural failures or prolonged delays with minimal communication or resolution support. The polarized ratings suggest that purchase outcomes vary considerably, making it important to research specific products and understand the company's warranty and return policies before committing to a purchase.

Sorted by: Most recentI've got quite a few items in my home from them: a queen New Standard bed, two Hush beds, large teardrop and large Hoola mirrors, Note Side Table, Swole table, and various other pieces. We've been shopping with them since 2004. When I'm browsing their catalog, I think back to customers in the early and mid-1950s who really got what this design philosophy was about - the mix of function, beauty, and being affordable. I have some real mid-century pieces too like Eames, Nelson, Saarinen, and Noguchi, but what draws me to this brand is how they capture that same spirit and design movement in a way that's still accessible, not locked away at luxury price points like happened later on.
Own quite a collection from this company: a queen New Standard bed, two Hush beds, large teardrop mirror, large Hoola mirror, Note Side Table, Swole table, and various other items. We've been loyal customers going back to 2004. When I shop here, it reminds me of that feeling customers probably had back in the 50s who truly understood the value of functional design that was also beautiful and affordable. Even though I have some genuine mid-century classics like Eames, Nelson, Saarinen, and Noguchi pieces, there's something special about how this brand captures that mid-century spirit and makes it available to everyday people instead of pricing it out of reach like it became later.
When the delivery people brought my bench, it showed up in two boxes that were way too heavy for me to lift. According to their order form, they were only doing dry delivery at the door with no assembly and no removal of packaging. I basically had to sign off on a delivery I couldn't even inspect or move, and now I'm stuck assembling it myself like some flat-pack store but without the quality.
The quality was excellent and your customer service team was really professional and helpful. Will definitely come back and buy more.
Really pleased with the quality of my purchase and how well the customer service team treated me. Definitely would buy from them again.
Got a bench for my entryway online but it turned out the space wasn't right for it. The return process itself wasn't too bad, but the whole thing ended up costing me over 200 dollars in fees and such compared to what I paid. Really let down by how expensive it turned out to be.
Have purchased multiple items including metal trays, ottomans, and tables and am very happy with the quality. Everything looks fantastic too. Recently I needed to reach out because my tracking information was wrong, and the customer service person was amazing. Got an actual human on the phone instead of some annoying automated menu. Super friendly and helpful. He did exactly what he said he'd do in the follow-up email and fixed things right away. Good customer service really matters, and this company gets it. Really satisfied overall.
Purchased quite a bit from this store including metal trays, ottomans, and a table, and the quality on all of it is solid and looks great. Had to reach out to customer service recently because my tracking info was wrong, and the rep was fantastic. He actually picked up the phone like a real person instead of making me navigate through an annoying automated system. He was genuinely helpful and nice. He followed up on his email promise and took care of the problem right away. When a company has good customer support like this, it makes a real difference. Really satisfied with how this business treats their customers.
Been dealing with major delays on my chair order. No meaningful communication and every week brings another postponement. I'm at 4 months now and honestly I'm not confident they'll ever show up.
This is about how they handle their catalog unsubscribe process. Like everyone else, we get tons of unwanted mail, and Blu Dot actually did this right. They printed the unsubscribe link right on the back of the catalog, so you don't have to dig around looking for it. The unsubscribe page is clean, no sketchy stuff trying to stop you from leaving. Every catalog company should do this. Seriously good job. Plus, we have their New Standard couch and it's fantastic.
