What Shoppers Say About Bookroo
Bookroo receives sharply divided reviews, with shoppers either very satisfied or deeply frustrated. Positive reviewers praise the selection of children's books, quick delivery, responsive customer service, and the vibrant illustrations and quality storytelling. However, the majority of recent reviews highlight serious operational problems: multiple shoppers report long delays in receiving shipments (including unshipped orders months after purchase), poor communication when issues arise, and what they perceive as inadequate responsibility-taking from the company.
For a subscription service requiring substantial upfront investment, the inconsistency in service delivery is a major concern. While the product quality itself appears to satisfy those who receive their orders, the fulfillment and customer service failures documented in reviews suggest prospective customers should carefully research current operations and delivery timelines before committing to a year-long subscription.

Sorted by: Most recentThis company made mistakes from day one. Nothing went smoothly. When problems came up, they refused to own up to what went wrong. Instead of taking responsibility, they kept blaming the shipping carrier and making excuses about being a small operation. The customer service was really poor. My grandkids were let down by the whole experience, and I decided to cancel. There are plenty of other companies out there that do a much better job.
Really disappointed with my experience. I signed up for a year-long subscription at nearly $300 for my grandson back in mid-December, and I still haven't gotten my first shipment. For that kind of money, I expected way better service and faster delivery. I'd definitely suggest looking into other subscription services before committing to this one.
Amazing selection for little ones! The delivery was really quick and the team was super helpful when I had questions. I was blown away by how beautiful the artwork is in these books - the colors just pop right off the page. The story about traveling through life in one of my picks was perfect for my kids, and the helicopter book? Adorable doesn't even cover it. For toddlers through early elementary, you honestly can't beat the price compared to what Amazon charges. These aren't the run-of-the-mill books you see everywhere either. I got two books that normally go for $18 and $19 each, but the whole subscription box costs less than buying just one of them separately. That's an incredible value.
