Burst Oral Care Reviews
What Shoppers Say About Burst Oral Care
Burst Oral Care receives polarized feedback from shoppers, with 15 reviews averaging 2.2 out of 5. Positive reviewers praise the functionality of water flossers and toothbrushes, noting they work well initially and perform impressively out of the box. However, the majority of reviews highlight serious concerns about product durability, with multiple customers reporting that devices stop functioning within one to two years. Even more problematic are complaints about customer service and subscription practices: shoppers describe difficulty cancelling memberships, continued charges after cancellation, unexpected automatic enrollment in subscription programs, and poor responsiveness to support requests.
Recurring complaints center on billing issues and what some reviewers characterize as predatory business practices. Several customers report being enrolled in automatic reorder subscriptions without explicit consent, having payment methods stored without authorization, and struggling to remove saved credit cards. Service quality has also deteriorated according to long-time subscribers, with delayed shipments and unanswered support emails. These issues appear to significantly outweigh product satisfaction for most reviewers, suggesting that while the oral care devices themselves may perform adequately initially, problems with durability, customer service responsiveness, and subscription management are major pain points for the majority of shoppers.

Sorted by: Most recentI've had my Burst waterflosser for just a couple days and I'm really impressed. Works great and I couldn't be happier with it.
We have three Burst water picks at home and none of them work anymore. They just randomly stop functioning with no warning. The company used to replace them, but now they're refusing to do that. Why spend money on something that dies every year or two when you can get a better product from a company that actually cares about their customers and stands behind what they sell? Skip Burst and find something else.
Initially the toothbrush worked fine, but then it quit on me. Dealing with this company and their support team has been an absolute nightmare. It took over a week just to get my membership cancelled half a year ago. Yesterday I got a replacement head delivered to my door with a shipping charge from the postal service that I had to pay. I was totally caught off guard since I hadn't heard from them in months and thought everything was done. Why would I get a replacement brush head for a toothbrush I no longer own from a company I stopped using half a year ago, along with a bill for shipping something I never asked for and can't even use? This company is incredibly frustrating to work with.
I cancelled my subscription at the end of 2023 but the charges kept hitting my card every month. It's been incredibly annoying and the whole thing feels predatory. They won't let me remove my credit card since it's their default payment method (stored without asking), and even after I completely closed my account, the monthly charges continued. Their phone line isn't staffed anymore and just directs you to email or text. I've reached out multiple times through email and text but get no response. I've had to dispute each monthly charge with my bank as it comes through, which is a huge hassle. I'm also trying to get a new card number to stop this, but still waiting to see if that actually works.
I've been paying for a membership for years. They charged my account on a certain date for my replacement brush, but over three weeks went by and I still hadn't gotten it. I've sent four separate follow-up emails and heard nothing back. Their service has clearly gone downhill and I'm cancelling my membership.
This company operates like predators. I bought an electric toothbrush just once after a recommendation and discount code from my dental hygienist. Without asking, Burst set up an account, put me on an automatic reorder subscription, and saved my payment information. I didn't find out until I tried to delete the payment method and discovered it was locked because it's tied to the subscription they signed me up for without permission. That's fraud. These folks are slimy and exploit their customers. There are plenty of other toothbrushes on the market. Burst's business practices are ripe for a class action lawsuit. We need to stop letting companies get away with this kind of exploitation and hold them responsible.
If I could give them zero stars, I would. My toothbrush died after just a few months of use and I wanted to reach out for help, but I couldn't get anyone on the phone. I got some troubleshooting suggestions through their chat feature, but nothing helped. I eventually cancelled my subscription and bought an Oral B instead, which I actually prefer. That was half a year back. Then randomly in early January, I see a charge hit my bank account with an email saying a brush head is coming. Still can't get a real person on the phone, and I've been going back and forth with someone named Jack through email without getting anywhere. I'm done. I've filed a complaint with the BBB and found out I'm far from the only one having these problems. Don't buy from them.
The actual products are decent, but the company uses sneaky sales practices that are intentional. If you're not careful to find and read all the terms, you'll automatically get signed up for their subscription service and they'll keep charging you and shipping you refills without your permission. Because of this, I won't be ordering from them again.
I ordered both the toothbrush and the water flosser. The water flosser showed up broken and wouldn't turn on or charge properly. When I called their customer service number, I just got a recording saying they're too busy to take calls. I emailed them and they told me I'd have to go through a warranty claim process. That's not acceptable customer service in my book. I shouldn't have gotten a broken item in the first place, and the company should stand by their products. Amazon would have made this right immediately. Think twice before ordering.
I've had an ongoing problem since mid-March that still hasn't been resolved. The company won't take responsibility or offer any solution. You'd think they'd go the extra mile with a dental professional, but apparently it doesn't matter to them who the customer is. Buy something different.
