What Shoppers Say About Country Door
Country Door has a divided customer base with a 2.2 out of 5 rating from 17 shoppers. A significant majority of reviews report serious issues with unauthorized charges and subscription fees applied without customer consent, with several shoppers describing unexpected recurring fees appearing on their bank statements long after purchases. Additional complaints center on poor product quality (assembly instructions and hardware defects on furniture), restrictive return policies (no return labels provided, claims that customer sizing errors are not returnable), incorrect item fulfillment (wrong sizes shipped), and difficult customer service experiences involving long hold times and disconnected calls.
On the positive side, a small subset of reviewers report satisfaction with Country Door, suggesting the retailer does have some customers who receive products as expected and have positive experiences. However, the prevalence of billing complaints and product quality issues significantly outweighs positive feedback. Most shoppers who experienced problems express strong dissatisfaction and recommend avoiding the retailer entirely.

The wooden Christmas tree base doesn't fit properly and the paint job is sloppy. Definitely not worth the money I spent on it.
Customer service here is really disappointing. Most reputable retailers will give you a price adjustment if something you bought goes on sale within 30 days. My sister has been a loyal customer for years and spent good money on her orders, but they won't even offer free shipping ever, period. She'd be charged $30 or $40 just for shipping. That's outrageous compared to places like Amazon Prime or other companies that throw in free shipping deals. But not here, no matter how much you spend, you'll never get free shipping. When she called about getting a discount on an item that dropped in price shortly after purchase, they flat out refused. It's incredibly frustrating as a customer when you're already paying full price for expensive merchandise.
This is a total scam. They collect your info and claim you have a credit line, but never give you an account number. When you call back, they say they can't locate your order or find you in their system. Nothing but lies and more lies.
Sketchy and dishonest business practices. This was my first time ordering from Country Door and the experience was awful. I called twice and waited over 50 minutes on hold, and during one call a rep asked for my Social Security number which I refused to give them for security reasons. Asking for that makes no sense for a purchase and seems like questionable business conduct. I ordered a garden shed on May 5th that was supposed to arrive May 14th. It's now May 20th and I still don't have it. I've tried calling multiple times and can't get answers.
As a long-time customer with Country Door, I've consistently been happy with both the merchandise and how they treat me. My one gripe is that their shipping fees on top of the product cost feel a bit high. That said, I'm still pleased with the company overall.
